What We Do

ConstellationNYC is a unique network of stars – outstanding, influential women leaders from every arena of life – who come together to build lasting, mutually enriching relationships that empower each member to actualize their ideas and dreams.

Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - Connectedness
#2 - Empowerment
#3 - Leadership

Our Target Audience:

Members are women who are influencers and key decision makers in their respective fields. These women are leaders from across the for-profit, non-profit, community-based, philanthropic, social, artistic, family and government sectors, among others. Highly educated and progressive. No single political affiliation. Possess individual qualities like integrity, creativity and compassion. Like getting things done. Range of income levels but mostly white collar, earning 6 figure salaries. Geographically based in NYC, so the women are cosmopolitan/international/diverse. But the logo needs to be applicable later to additional chapters in other major cities, domestically and internationally.

Color Preferences

The color palette I think would work. No need to use them all. But these are the colors I am drawn to: GREY, ORANGE, PURPLE, BLUE, WHITE.

There are no colors I am against in theory.

Everyone, thanks for your great ideas and entries. We are off to an excellent start.

I would like to add one thing that was not in the initial contest brief, for your guidance:

I would like the main design element of the logo to be "detachable" from the text (ConstellationNYC). So, while I want the whole logo, including text, to be seamlessly coherent...I would also like the pictoral aspect of the logo to be able to stand on its own. (For example, the Nike logo swoosh, or the Lucent circle.) This means that the design should not be built too much into the TEXT.

Example of this principle are: #1, #2, #4, #5.

Thanks!!!! Tammy

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Thank you everyone for participating in this contest. Several creative logos were close but none of them have so far hit the spot. So I have extended the contest by 2 days. As you know, I only get one extension.

I'll be in touch with some of you through PM. If anyone has anything they feel comfortable sharing publicly, please feel free to communicate with me here.

Thank you again. I'm very excited! Looks great.
