The problem with red colors is not only because of the sait compression, there was topic in the forum about it I think @Orion gave very good technical explanation.
But it's only when high compressed. :)

Really stunning work from everyone so far - I'm so excited for what's been done and for what hasn't been created yet. I'm convinced this will be an extremely difficult decision. I can't believe the talent on this site! Thanks to everyone who has put in work thus far!

DP, yes reds are the worst but as mentioned in the mini tutorial...each image processing sorftware handles the intrpetation a wee bit differently...

for the CH

this is only when viewing in these programs or using the built in image viewer with Windows or Macs.

print is an entire separate issue...which is why I always work in CMYK..even though CMYK when converted to RGB for online viewing will be a tad off. Other factors include the monitor...if designer are using standard LCD from big Box stores then the artwork will not be close to production quality. I know of many design companies who have never used highend LCD such a Lacie products or even calibrated what monitors they do have.

gerasidi,

With 12 designs in the top 48 submitted, I'm unsure as to why you may have withdrawn your submissions as I thought highly of them. I have made every attempt to be descriptive as possible in my brief, and through feedback to the designers (as I am supposed to and as much as I can), I think I've been quite clear what I am looking for.

If anyone else feels they "really don't know where to go next", PLEASE message me or respond with comments on your designs. I am trying to offer as much feedback as possible and I am more than willing to discuss the direction of your design with you, or answer any questions that you have for me.

Thank you all for the wonderful work.

Everyone,

There are so many good designs here that it's hard to rank them, and my rankings are changing constantly. Please understand that if I have not marked your design "Not Interested", then I am considering it still. I will try to stay on top of this as much as time permits and give as much feedback as I can, but the competition here is pretty intense.

Thank you all for your amazing designs - just when I think I've seen the best, great designs keep coming in, so keep them coming. I will not end this contest early so that everyone has a fair chance at adding or changing designs. Thanks again!

I enjoy the variety of designs. It's a fun brand to work with and there's a lot of room for creative exploration. This is one of the few contests where designers are truly submitting their own interpretations and not merely mimicking the top rated designs - its refreshing!

Still can't believe the incredible quality of designs coming in. I hate to rank any "Not Interested", but the competition is so heated that unfortunately I have to. I'm not even sure my Top 50 rankings are in order, at this point. Everything's up in the air until the contest ends!

Also, a few designers over the last 24 hours have stepped outside the box creatively and made some very interesting submissions. My interest was heightened by this approach - I'd love to see more of this in these last 48 hours. I had a vision of what I wanted going into this contest - and still do - but seeing other creative solutions to my brand is fun and thought-provoking. Feel free to interpret my brand on your own and come up with something perhaps outside of my brief that you personally like or would use if the business were your own. If nothing else, it will make these last 2 days even more exciting and challenging.

Thank you all!

Have a great week and Happy Easter to those celebrating. I sincerely appreciate all of your work.

COOL! That's how CH should lead contests here!
Give the designers freedom and see them happy and bursting with creativity.
One of the best contests ever :)

APE & Dolphin Press,

Thank you for your excitement about this contest. I was hoping to achieve that kind of competition. I'm glad you are both happy to be a part of it - you can't imagine how happy I am to have been able to see all of these incredible designs come in. Thanks again and good luck!

Quick note heading into the last hour: submissions are coming in quickly and I'm unable to rank as fast as I'd like to comment much at all. My apologies, but it is the last hour! I don't think I need to extend this contest, do I?

Hi all,

Sorry for the change in plans, but my business partner & financier couldn't meet with me until Thursday to deliberate over a logo, so I've decided to just extend it until then. Thanks and again I apologize for prolonging the suspense! Keep'em coming if you so choose!

Hi Everyone,

With so many outstanding entries, I ask that everyone be patient. Right now I cannot offer much feedback and my rankings will be fluctuating. I'm on an old iMac G5 so scrolling down the rankings page is extremely slow, and right now I'm really trying to narrow things down to at least a Top 100. I can say with certainty that there are probably at least 75-100 logos here that I'd be happy with if I was randomly given one, so please don't withdraw any designs, even if you find your work low in rankings - if it's not marked "not interested", then I'm still considering it!!!

Thanks so much again and best to you all,

Matt
