This logo design is centered on branding the name, as you'll notice Cloverdale is more prominent. Also, considering the change in direction of your company's name from "foods" to "farms" and from mostly pork products to now focusing on more poultry, I sensed the need for flexibility in your brand identity. So, rather than an illustration of a chicken, I've included a classic rooster-wind gauge -- an iconic figure for farms and ranches. This should provide a more general, flexible logo that won't have to undergo much change if and when you should ever expand your business into other areas of food products in the future.
I know blue was not in the design specs, but I wanted to draw this one up for your consideration. Having a true blue color tied in does a couple things: (1) it provides a good contrast for the opposite colors of Yellow/Gold tones that are in your logo and (2) it is here to reflect a comforting, patriotic color of the "heartland of America" that many consumers look for in purchasing food products (especially when it comes to farm products). hope you enjoy this approach as well.
