hello, so here is my proposal. i use three icons to the three tiers, social, environmental and economic. since you havent got a name, i use planrichmond instead, this can be changed to anything once you have decide it. the blue swoosh on the name hint a little about the river. i can be applied to the new name ofcourse. so i hope you like it.
really like where you are going with #24. Can we make the river swoosh a little more similar to the existing city logo (see the Richmond city logo attached to the contest brief- it is gold- we do not want gold, but just the river swoosh). Also, can we come up with something else for economy??? Thanks!
updates. i take initiative to add one more economic icon. it will really a big help if you can make a feedback to my designs so i know what to update. i really want to work with you. also with the swoosh on the RVA i think it looks better. i know the swoosh is backward, but i think fits with the design, the text RVA looks clear and readable. please let me know what you think. thanks
i'm really sad about this, i'm first introduce the icons design, you liked it, and then everyone follows to make icons design. .... okay it's fine because i believe i can do better and i have uniqueness on my design. i place swoosh on it to make a hint to Richmond, it makes my design unique. no one think to put a swoosh in it before,.... and now everyone follows, eventhough they place it in different text. i'm trying to improve my design here. so i just want you to know that i'm the one who first introduce the icon design when no one think about it, and i'm the first who think about the swoosh on the design when no one think about it. and then everyone follows. i'm working hard for this and i don't want my design get eliminated from the contest because someone accuse me to copy someones design.
Ok! Overall the favorite is #76 with the tagline, but can we use the tree and the econ dev icons from #66 instead of the leaf and the bar graph. Also, instead of the car let's go with something representing environment, which for the purposes of this plan includes air quality, water quality and conservation and solid waste and recylcing- perhaps use a water droplet within a set of typical recycling arrows (do you know what we mean- by the recycling triangle?) Some of the earlier work had water shown in a cycle. THANK YOU!

Hi Wolv, We would like to select you as the winner of this tournament. However, we will not know until the end of the week if we are going to want RVA green or envision RVA as the final name. I am a consultant working with a client- that is why there is a little lag in the time here, but we definitely like your designs and icons the best. Is it possible to get from you the following: #85 with the thinner font for RVA. we want to see RVA in green and the swoosh in blue. However, the swoosh needs to be completely under the RVA (like the river is in the City's logo). What we would like is to see this design, as described, twice- one with envision RVA and the other with RVA green (without the colon) so that our client can make their final decision. WIll that be possible? Also, is it more appropriate for us to award you as the winner before asking these types of requests? Please just let us know if that is the case and we will do that. We just wanted to be sure we could communicate this need to you first.
