Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page:

~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

Hello. To start with, we are pretty impressed with the designs we received. Our ranking so far mostly reflects our evaluation of font and text; we ranked professional-looking texts higher.

For images or effects however, we still haven't seen one that nailed it. For reference, we are either looking for something that is plain simple, or an image that clearly symbolizes speed. We prefer images that aren't abstract; and we may even choose a logo without an image (if for example, our motto appears more clearly, or if through some effect, our logo propagates both professionalism and speed at the same time).

Thanks for all the submissions. We are trying to decide between a text-only logo that conveys professionalism vs. a logo with an image that conveys change and dynamism (i.e. less "IBM") -- at the end of the day, we are a young, technology start-up. The challenge for us is when we pick a logo that signals change, it becomes less professional. We're trying to find a logo that conveys both professionalism and novelty together.

We're looking for:
(1) More experimentation with images / effects in the logo along the lines above
(2) For text-only logos, variations where the emphasis is on the word "citus" and not "data" (e.g. "citus" bold, "data" non-bold).
