I would appreciate to have some feedback about my #22, #23 concepts.
A short description of my concept. The brand's icon is an abstract representation of your name's initial letter C that creates the form of a plate/cup. Two swash lines give the impression of warm food/coffee. Blue-white-red colors are a reminder of your French origin.
I wanted to create a generic, modern mark that can be easily used for your other branded concepts as well, so I tried to avoid cliche chef's symbols.
Love the color ideas. #22 is a bit too busy and hard to read. I like the coffee idea, but my group thinks it conveys coffee house more than chef meals. I do like the font in #23 and #24. If you have other icon ideas please submit them. Also abstract is good, but concrete - like a fork or chef hat or food - is ok too.
#57 is getting much better. Maybe have a chef hat next to forks instead of overlapping. We don't want the logo to be too busy. I like the font of Christophe's.
New concept #103, #105! Imagine that you're eating great food in a luxury restaurant with candlelights and fine tablecloth... Now imagine that you can do that in your own home/office fast and without spending so much money.
The new concepts are very good. I like them a lot. Can you experiment with some blue as you had in the prior logos? I put the one with the underline in "Not Interesting" because it underlines "Christ" and we want to avoid highlighting or isolating that part of the name. Thanks.
Thanks for your comments! I made some new variations #138, #139, #140, #141 to see which one you like the best. Please let me know if you want any modifications.
Looks good. Some of the guys in our group think the icon looks too much like room service. Maybe combine the chef hat in #57 with the moving motif in #139. Basically a flying or moving chef hat... You could try the utensils in different ways around the hat (or no utensils at all).
Please check my new drafts #188, #190, #193. I combined the table with chef's hat and I deleted the wheels. The colors are solid without gradients in order to make logo more easy to print on any surface, from paper to plastic.
I'm at your disposal for any further modifications.
I like the removal of the wheels. The chef hat on top doesn't look quite right to me. Let me talk with the other guys on my team and I'll send you more variations to try. Thanks.
Yes, I agree that it's better without the wheels. I'll wait for your feedback to submit new drafts (but to continue to the second phase is important to stay in the top 5).
Maybe an option is to keep only the table and place Christophe's on top of it, in the middle, and inside the table centered, TO GO. Maybe that option suits all of your other products as well.
My #225, #226, #227 logos are an example of how your logo can be applied for your other products as well. The main logo is in red and by changing the color of the tablecloth and the text you can create a fresh and unique corporate identity.
That makes sense. I like it but the team members think it is too much like room service. I'm going to speak to them again and let you know if we have any other modifications that we want to try. Thanks
Well, to my defense (!) I believe that it's not looking like room service, just a sense of gourmet luxury. I understand that a chef's hat is the safe way, but honestly I think that it's a "me too" approach, so many logos with chef's hat in the market!
Anyhow, I can't submit anymore logos because I'm not in top 5. Thanks for your support and good luck with your contest :)
