Discussion

I like the organic integration of all our thematic ideas - books, pelican, nest with chicks, outstretched wings. I also like the fine, elegant lines. I would like to see what #13 looks like with the bolder "Center For Lit" title font used in #14. Also, the image is on a horizontal axis (a horizontal rectangle would enclose it) -- is there a way to use the same ideas in such a way that it would fill a square or circle? Not sure whether that would ruin the concept...

What about extending the curve of the bottom "book page" in #13 into a half-circle element that borders the image on top? (maybe almost connecting the two "bottom pages") This would create the seal/emblem effect that I am looking for without sacrificing the excellent proportions of your original design.

I like #31 and #32, that's just what I meant. Can we use the same idea but without shrinking the original image - or would that make the whole thing too big?

Hello :) Just submitted the changes you requested :)

Hello. I think that Logo no2 is a bit too close to mine. Isn't that copying? Just wanted to discuss with you about it first.

The arc is great with these proportions. Now I'd like to see the Title a little darker/more substantial. Perhaps with the font or color (or both) of #25? One more thing: in your artistic opinion, does the arc in #43 or #44 draw the eye more effectively?

I prefer the arc in 44... it looks stronger than the faded middle one in 43... gives a sense of protection...strong one.

There is another one I did with the wings, but had no time to upload it..if you want to see it please let me know :) Cannot paste it here it seems.

We are thinking of removing the arc altogether and going back to #25 (see latest rankings). Can you increase the size of the "reading for a reason" text a little, to make it easier to read when small?

Hello. Please see corrections as requested :)

We really like what you've done with #50. The larger, centered text on "reading for a reason" is better. I'm still a little worried that it will be hard to read. Can you try a version with a more standard font? I almost hate to ask, since the script style on the existing logo really emphasizes the artistic feel of the whole image - and yet I want to make sure that it is not difficult to read.

Oh please...keep asking until you are totally satisfied. :) You need to make sure you connect 100% with your logo :) Let me do the changes and upload once done :)

Thanks for uploading the last few examples -- they convince me that the font you originally chose for "reading for a reason" is by far the best one. I'd like to see what it looks like a little larger, but still centered. Also we are thinking of replacing the words "reading for a reason" with the words "online academy" in some locations on our website and print materials. Could we see what that would look like as well? Thanks for your work on this.

What formats do you deliver the images in? Do they have transparent backgrounds? Are they scalable?

Congratulations, we chose #50 as our new logo. Thanks so much for your design! Will you be able to deliver two versions, one with "reading for a reason" and the other with "online academy"?
