Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - professional, not cartoon like
#2 - simple and effective (result oriented)
#3 - we are good at what we do and open to all dog breeds

Our Target Audience:

Any dog owner, single, married with kids, or retired, etc. We are located in central North Carolina close to a major lake and college towns. Middle to higher income markets.

Color Preferences

carolina blue, white, limish green and black. we are open to other palettes involving the blue and a green. (THINK - Seattle Seahawks with the navy, green and silver)

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

We would like to use a dog silhouette, either full body or head. A nondescript dog would be best as we do not want to appear breed specific. Pointed ears are bad. A relaxed, happy face and body. If there is a way to have a cocked head but still not look like a blob or cartoon, we would like to see it. Helvetica font or something else simple and clear.

Style

Pictorial Mark

Literal or representative imagery is used to symbolize the brand.
Emblem

A badge that usually envelopes the logo

We are flexible on colors for this design as we don't want green to wash out with different backgrounds. Different shades of blue are also acceptable. We want the logo to be clear and simple with an emphasis on either the dog or the "canine training". However, we are very open to creativity and suggestions!

We are looking for a clean and compact look that with one glance a customer will know what we are about.

No dogs with pointed ears please!

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

So far all of the dogs in the submissions are standing or pointing- we would love to see some sitting or in motion.
