The flame in the campfire is a stylized "S", for Sacajawea.
The overall feel has a bit of a 'carved' look about it. Getting into the wilderness and making things, exploring, having fun. I wanted to give the logo a sense of fun and discovery. A badge feel about it too.
I feel it's important that the logo "can" work in one color so that it can easily be applied to any t-shirt color, and where possible it can be printed in full color. Here are some demonstrations of its use.
Full color version - updated with flowers to soften it.
#79, #80, #81 - Not sure about the all caps on the word camp on these. I think it works on some of your other designs, but not with this. I like the girl in #80 and #81. Cute.
You mentioned making the flame in the fire in the shape of an S. If you were to create a sister look for Amity Acres, would you do something similar or swap the fire for another "outdoor" graphic. If so, where do you think you'd be leaning?
Thanks, I'll take a look at revising that type. Appreciate the feedback.
With Amity Acres I think it would be ideal to swap the flame graphic for something else. My idea at this stage would be a big leaf with a lady beetle on it. An appreciation of the nature around them.
I've got a couple of other ideas but I think that concept would work with almost the same shape to the S.
With these purple/orange designs the idea is to have less colors overall which creates a less "busy" logo and, I would suggest, stronger branding. The other camp could be a change of one of the colors so that the second color follows through as a graphic link.
This design shows the logo can work in one color - it may not be used in this way but it is good to know it works. For example - 1 color screen printing, photocopying documents, rubber stamp etc.
