This design has two intertwining representations in the graphic; an abstract and modern approach to the caldera plumes and the strategic action of starting out broad and circling in to a more exact point.
While the graphic is modern and exotic, it is paired with a classically elegant font.
The colors could certainly be changed to a warmer palette to reflect volcanic action, but I don’t feel the logo has to be so literal. Plus, the gray adds more of a plume feel.
Like #139, this design has intertwining representations in the graphic; an abstract and modern approach to the caldera plumes and the strategic action of starting out broad and circling in to a more exact point. This design also has an abstract “C” in the 4th square.
While the graphic is modern and exotic, it is paired with a classically elegant font.
A warmer color palette is used here. Due to one of your competitors already using red, I went with more orange here to differentiate from the competition.
Yes, like #139 and #140, this design has intertwining representations in the graphic; an abstract and modern approach to the caldera plumes and the strategic action of starting out broad and circling in to a more exact point. But, this one has one other interesting representation. This swirl design comes from the gate to the Old Town district in Los Gatos.
The symbol in this design has a more elegant feel to it. Because I did not want it to feel too feminine, I paired it with a modern and more masculine font.
Due to one of your competitors already using red, I went with orange here to differentiate from the competition.
Any of these symbols could be used to build an interesting design system: Letterhead, business card, Web site etc.
I started working on a wordmark a few days back and finally came up with this one. I like the simplicity of it. Since a caldera is actually a depression, the red "v" represents the caldera and the modified "A" represents the steam. Also, the V is an abstract arrow symbolizing the strategy factor.
