C3Logo Design Contest

These are a great start. Thanks for responding quickly. Here is some initial feedback... This contest is all about the symbol, while the C3 is secondary. The stores will use the symbol/icon worldwide but the name of the company will be many different languages so the symbol must be simple & recognizable. The C3 doesn't necessarily have to be in the symbol. Not too busy or complex as these will be printed mostly on signage & t-shirts. If you use a globe, I'd try a one color, line art approach. These are coming along nicely. Thank you to everyone for your entries. We are seeing some progress toward a simple symbol that will be recognizable in all countries. Keep up the great work! And remember, we don't want any complex or busy logos. Just simple icons. Thank you!

Note to all designers - Please don't withdraw your entries even if you're not near the top. I'm working on this project for a client and I'll be showing them at least 10-15 options. Design work is subjective and they might rank them in the same order I do. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who is entering this contest. I showed the client a lot of preliminary concepts just to be sure I was heading in the right direction with my rankings. I have re-ranked the designs based on their feedback. They really like the ones that have a rounder look to them. They prefer the global theme. They really like the idea of the butterfly but might prefer it to be smaller and less prominent in the design - sort of out of the way as an accent rather than the main focus. I hope this feedback is helpful. Keep the great ideas coming!

a lot of great designs in this contest...Difficult to pick a winner :-)

Amazing work! You're absolutely right, Florian. It will be difficult to pick a winner on this one. Client will ultimately determine the winner. Hang in there and please don't withdraw your entries until I have a chance to meet with them - probably early next week. I'm so impressed by your creativity!

I've extended the contest because the parameters have changed a bit. Client has decided that the C3 might need to be included after all. He has shown several designs to foreign associates and they didn't understand why the C3 wasn't included. We might use the symbol with C3 next to it or under it. That's an option I'd like them to see. Also, no more butterflies. They didn't like that idea. They really like the options that show a globe, they like the ones that are angled and 3D looking, although this design needs to work as a one color solid as well since it will be printed on shirts, etc. Hope this helps!!

One more thing... client doesn't like the ones where the C and 3 interlock together like a puzzle. They like the bright blue that's being used and would like to see more green with it. Thanks!

Sorry for delay in feedback. Client has been traveling out of the country. After meeting & reviewing entries again, he has ranked his three favorites as indicated in the rankings. He plans to take these three designs to a board meeting next week and a winner will be selected then. Here is feedback from the client... First of all, GREAT job to all of you. On logo #1, Arthur, can you please incorporate a small number 3 into the design and not have C3 out to the right? On logo #2, logofactor, can you change the C to a font that has squared off ends rather than the pointy ends? More like the font used for the C's in 1 & 3. And finally, logo #3, by 3, can you work a number 3 into the design too? And finally, regarding color, they really like the blue & green but would also love to see a bright orange worked into these designs. Thank you for your entries and your patience.
