Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Here is some feedback and further comments to assist graphic designers:
1. We are a business advisory company. We need a professional image. Designs that include graphics to convey speed (e.g. car speedometers) are not on the right track. Sorry guys.
2. Some examples of the logos we like are:
- Fuji Xerox - Westpac Bank (www.westpac.com.au) - Allianz (www.allianz.com.au) - Sony - Apple
In all of these, they are SIMPLE, ELEGANT, SOPHISTICATED and easy to recognise.
3. Please do not use the $ sign. It looks very cheap (even though it is the dollar sign).
We obviously want to get a new logo that will improve on this... with emphasis on the following words: Professionalism, Elegance, Strength, Confidence, ....
We are open to suggestions that improve on the current logo. That is, not having a totally different one. For example, IBM has gone through several logo modifications over the years but they are very close to each other in design.
We note most designers have followed the two colours we currently use - blue and red.
We now wish to consider making the colour choice more "responsible" and "conservative".
One idea is to have one colour -- silver or gray -- similar to that of the PriceWaterhouseCoopers logo you can find at www.pwc.com or similar.
We invite the designers who have submitted logos in our ranked/preferred list to please change the colours -- within the current designs -- and move away from the two colour schemes.
FYI...and unrelated to the task at hand, but your website lists your toll free number 1300 XXXXXX in one place (Top right) and 1800 XXXXXX in another (Under the tower on the lower right column)... I just thought you might want that brought to your attention, probably a typo by your webmaster/designer...
