Color Preferences
I am open to numerous colors. My first inclination is "professional" and "business oriented". Thoughts include Blues, Whites, Black, some Gray.... things associated with a breakwater/jetty. Green can also be included, as we trying to protect wealth for some and build wealth for others.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I do like the simplicity and elegance of the "W" and complete logo for Westview Financial Group at www.westviewfg.com

However, this is only an idea, and I am NOT stuck on it at all.

Another idea may be at www.harrisdevelopmentgroup.com

Yet, just another idea... PLEASE BE CREATIVE!!!!!!!!

1st thought since submitting the contest... I don't think I want the entire name in a row. Probably would prefer the name "Breakwater" to be the emphasis, and for 'Equity Group' to maybe be beneath it... maybe in another font (maybe not?)...whatever looks best.

#3: I like the simplicity
#6: You are on the right track by incorporating a sense of a "Breakwater" or jetty in the B....
#1: I like the little bit of flair in the design!
#4: I see you are kind of using a breaking wave next to the B... good idea!

Let's try to incorporate some water... maybe a cresting wave... or somethings along the lines of an actual breakwater...

An example is in an actual photo at www.breakwater.com under the careers tab. The rock jetty is the 'Breakwater' which stops the rough storm waters and creates the calm bay where the boats are... there is a symbolism here.

#13: I like the water and 'structural' shape of the logo
#8: I like the water drop if the shape in the middle was made to look like a Skyscraper - maybe the Emperial State Building or Modern Building.... like the water drop envelops the building.
#7: I like the creative attempt... unsure what it symbolizes... I like the creativity
#11: This is a Commercial Property firm, so Residential Homes are not quite the right symbol, but I like the idea. Maybe have the water part around the 'solid' structure instead of sitting ontop of the moving water (feels uneasy).

After thinking about it, BLACK as a color is NOT a good idea... we need to keep any correlation to 'Blackwater' out of the marketing.

#8 and #1, I like the horizontal lines coming from the bottom phrase - sharp!

#28 & #29: I really like the incorporation of the logo into the name via a wave. I like the designs as it it. Do you also have a version in mind with a slightly more 'intense' wave (slightly sharper edges)? Thanks!!

#24-#27: Your designs are great, however there does need to be a "B" in the logo

#14-#17: I really like what you are coming up with. The cresting wave really works, and thanks for incorporating some green - gives me some options!

#19: You may be onto something there!

I took notice to #29 because of the flooded background. It does catch your eye... and I like it. I can see many applications! Thank you for submitting a version in white that I could use on letterhead too!!

#31: Wow, now that's coming along.... really illustrating the idea we are a 'breakwater' creating a safe harbor!

#33: You've really got a great idea there... good illustration of what we are doing here! I think the water on the backside should be calm, and the crashing wave should be larger. Is there a way we can keep the 'B' from looking like a bouy?

#8: if you could put a commercial building in the drop of water rather than just a tearing of the drop... You would move up the ranking.

#28: I really like the wave crashing against the 'BreakWater'!! The wave is just a little soft...

I changed the name in the contest description.... so sorry for the last minute change.... it will be fine to leave the current submissions in, and we will correct the chosen winner's to reflect the true name. Once again, sorry for the confusion!

The entries are amazing!!! So much talent. Only 5 hours left.....
