Breakaway Private NetworksLogo Design Contest

I'd really like to go a little less "hip" and trendy. The logo should imply strength and should instill confidence and a sense of "officiality." I'd like to stick to colors that imply this as well. Hope this helps.

All, starting to see some entries that are closer to what we're looking for. I like those with sharp corners and edges. Not so hot on the ones with "bulbous" looks or rounded corners.

As I look at the entries now, I realize we have in mind some elements of badges, crests, and seals--things that imply officiality and suggest law enforcement/military/government/fire and rescue. We certainly DO NOT want you to create a "Breakaway family crest" or "The Seal of the Great State of Breakaway," but we do want to BORROW ELEMENTS that suggest Breakaway is credible and official. We all agreed we liked elements of these symbols (but we're not designers and can't clearly point to the elements we like):

Some great designs coming in now. Next challenge: What can we do to more directly imply "secure," "safe," and "protected from intrusion"?

Considering an art deco look.

But the eagle should be more of an art deco style. Keep the frontal view with the spread wings.

Really like Sean's work too. Wouldn't have gone in the direction of #92, but was pleasantly surprised by it. Love the concept, but think it might be a little too, i dunno, outdoorsy? Not convinced of this and don't want to eliminate it, but is there a way to make this concept a little more stern and sharp. The soaring aspect might be too "peaceful."

Really like the latest from ysonmez, but still think they're a bit busy. have suggested to him and Dazz that we go with just the eagle but incorporate fire/police symbols on the eagle's shield.
