Thanks for your message to reassure that i am not asking for too many revisions.

suggestions:
1) the books seem a little short....how about making the bindings as tall as the M like you did in #29. Perhaps this would be ok since the feelers stick up above the lettering as well...?
2) Coud you try extending the tag line to the end of the books? Also, maybe give it some dark outlines to make it appear less washed out.
3) Experiment with shading/reflection effects below the worm.
4) Try a revision with the books the same as the one he is holding (ie...same oulines/shading/coloring) rather than the multicolor...
5) should the left feeler be moved to the left of the magnified line that you see through the glasses (as with your original design)?
