Wow! Totally different than what i was anticipating, but awesome nonetheless. i love the character but would love to see something a little different with the text.
another thought.... Would it bepossible to use that characters face and make the glasses be the o's in 'bookworm'? Perhaps attach a body and have the tag line "book lovers unite!" inside of the worm body. Click here for concept: http://www.bookworm.com/images/logoconcept.jpg
My only concern is all the open space between "bookworm" and the worm body below.
What about moving the ".com" up to the same line as the name either vertically (like entry #17) or in book ends (like entry #2) and then inserting the tag line "book lovers unite" into the open space between the name and the worm body? Also, i'd love to see some variations of text color....wondering if the all blue logo would be enhanced with some additional colors.
How about black O's as well for the glasses (as you did in your original drawings) and could we try making the book the same height as only the Bookworm text with the tag line extending underneath?
Also, could you do one variation with 3 books (multicolored) for each letter c o m (which i understand might require adding another piece to the body of the worm to extend it's length.
suggestions: 1) the books seem a little short....how about making the bindings as tall as the M like you did in #29 . Perhaps this would be ok since the feelers stick up above the lettering as well...? 2) Coud you try extending the tag line to the end of the books? Also, maybe give it some dark outlines to make it appear less washed out. 3) Experiment with shading/reflection effects below the worm. 4) Try a revision with the books the same as the one he is holding (ie...same oulines/shading/coloring) rather than the multicolor... 5) should the left feeler be moved to the left of the magnified line that you see through the glasses (as with your original design)?
I know this is a minor detail, but if you look at your original entry (#20) you'll see that the feelers, when magnified by the glasses, have been moved inside of the feeler lines outside of the glasses. However, on your current revision (entry #37), the feeler on the left does not look magnified correctly. The feeler through the glasses has been moved the wrong dorection. Could you please modify that?
