Hi, this is an honor for me to participate. Here is my design. I created an isotype from the initials "BTF" for a characteristic emblem of elegance, quality and power. The letter "T" refers to a cross representing Christianity.
WOW! These are just great. Thanks for the variations. We like this concept a lot. Different than we anticipated, but still great. We actually love the cross concept in the middle, nice touch. Great use of space and the quality is on point. Not much I can critique about this though. If I had a couple things to say, maybe just play with the color on #75... can you put like a crimson red under "Body Temple" and under "Fitness"... a red fade would be good... fading from that crimson red to a lighter red.
Second, could you try #74 with red instead of blue behind BTF, leaving the rest the same. Third. I would love to see a Black and Gold version of this logo.
Almost forgot, the black area behind BTF... could you make that feel like a grill on a mustang... kind of like a honeycomb pattern instead of the horizontal gray lines.
I am curious to see if you could create a shape that is unique other than a circle. And finally, as far as my ideas... I like the way you put a dragon creatively behind one of your logos in the black color.... that was awesome, could you maybe figure something out to try separate from all the previous changes/ideas...
Overall, we could actually see this being the kind of logo our customers would wear on gear (hats, shirts, etc), and that would determine the outcome of choosing the right logo.
OK, we've discussed and we love what you did. If chosen, could you send the BTF by iteself, separate from the entire logo? Also, we would like a gray-scaled version of the winning entry. Is that possible?
There are a couple more changes that we would like to see in order to make our decision. Please only make revisions based off of entry #124, as we like this version the best but need a couple tweaks. We especially like the gradient angles in #124 the best.. so don't change the gradient angles in the circle as you submit these changes.. thanks =)
1. Please upload a version of #124 without the guy, and also without the spikes, but leave the black trim that comes to a point around the logo. We think that may be cool to keep. Change nothing as far as color. The honey comb design colors needs to be reversed though ... by just making the lines of the shape gray, and make the center of the honey comb shape black - just reversing the colors, that is it). UPLOAD THIS VERSION.
Please take the final version of the above changes and make adjustments as follows....
1. Please change ONLY the gold parts of the logo to BLUE Tones... (Deep blue to a cool blue fade.... just as you have deep gold to a cool gold fade). EVERYWHERE there is gold, including inside the BTF or you could use silver inside the BTF. UPLOAD VERSION.
2. Do the same thing as above, just use SILVER tones instead of the gold. UPLOAD VERSION.
3. Final color variation, this time use silver for the background as you just did instead of gold, blue for BTF trim, and red for the background colors of the words on the top and bottom of the circle. Kind of like what you did for the color in entry #120, just with the changes above.
Finally, we love the TLG logo you made, and think it would be cool to try 1)... a "perspective angle" on the BTF like you did with the TLG, ....making it look as though it is 3d by placing the black background behind the text and doing a "distort" of the BTF. 2)... We love the stars in the black on TLG, so maybe you could show us a second version of this change with a simple shape like that or even stars, just not exactly the same as your other logo.... don't want to copy it.. just like what its doing. 3).... Just a thought, maybe a third version of this could be a perspective angle on the ENTIRE LOGO as well. Not too distorted, just enough to give the impression of debth ( a free distort or the logo to give it a 3d feel).
After you make these changes, we can decide which is our favorite, and close the competition early. There wouldn't be a need to delay any longer as we have decided we like your logos the best.
Final change... we like #143 just with red trim on the BTF .. just like you have it on #141. Can you send that with red trim? Also, we want to see that with blue trim as well. So between those two changes, we will select one as the winner ASAP. by the way... when you add that red trim (and the blue trim separately), be sure to not add gold on top of the text... the silver is just fine.
Almost forgot... the honeycomb design in the background didn't get switched yet... right now the honeycombs are "Gray" with Black outlines, and it should be "Black" with just "Gray" outlines. Can you make this change as well when you send the two versions.
Finally, we want to see this #143 with the original horizontal lines as well in case we don't like the honeycomb.
After we select one, will you send the original AI file you created it in as well as the .eps file?
Almost forgot... when you make those changes, add the stars in the final versions of those.... THANKS! We LOVE the stars addition. Nice touch. Makes it feel American, which is just what we like about this logo.

Yes the changes work well. Thank you very much for your hard work. One more update just to satisfy the curiosity I have about the same BTF (red with gold tint Entry #141) on #149. Either one or the other is the winner.

The original color winning entry #154 in illustrator (.ai) and eps, and the BTF isolated by itself separately. Once we get those sent, we will go ahead and approve the funds pretty quickly.
