Picking up on climbing gear, I used a carabiner as the letter "c" in the word "Rock".
This logo will work very hard for the client, and be easily readable at any size, from business-card-small, to billboard-large. The design is comprised of shapes, not gradients and Illustrator effects, so it is suitable across all applications: web, print, embroidery, vinyl signage, etc.
