What We Do
BoardIQ is a software application that serves the Board of Directors members at banks--it allows them to use an iPad to review documents for monthly meetings.
Industry
Color Preferences
The colors should be more on the formal or professional side, such as maroon, gold, brown, black, dark green, gray, steel blue, etc. No bright colors or pastels. The primary color scheme of the application is maroon and gold, so it should be complimentary to those colors. See the attached image.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The format of the logo must be landscape in a 1:2 or up to 1:2.5 ratio. It should look clear and be readable at a size of 60px high. See the attached banner image of the application, which shows the temporary BoardIQ logo and where it will placed in the application. Notice that we have highlighted a section for the logo that is wider than the current one and that overlaps with text. We will adjust this header design to accommodate the right logo. The logo will also be used as a button on an iPad. The user will click the logo to return to the home page. This does NOT mean the logo HAS to be a button (like the temporary one). It may or may not. All that's required is that any image located in the header must be easy to click.
A summary of the design objective is "formal and professional with a Web 2.0 style". Some ideas would be themes that relate to people meeting, a board room, "click" friendly, document management, and iPads/tablet PCs.
