Hi Nancy, Thank you for your submissions. I love, love, love, the blubonnet on entry # 9, this is the best bluebonnet I have seen! Did you do it yourself? It is very artistic, but also a somewhat realistic drawing of what a bluebonnet looks like. What would it look like if you used only subtle shades of gray and blue in the flower? I think the text is nice but can you play around with different size letters, and fonts. I do like the use of cursive writing but I am not sure if I want the Bluebonnet or the Landscape creation in cursive. Also, what would different backgrounds look like. Is it possible to have a blue or gray background that fades out in the center so the logo pops. DO NOT CHANGE THE SHAPE OF THE BLUEBONNET, IT IS PERFECT! Also, I like the shades of blue you are using. I dont like shades in the aqua blue range. Continue to work with variations of this, you are definately on the right track! I don't really care that much for entry #11 but don't worry, #9 is a great starting point
Hi Nancy, I'm liking 'em! Especially #29, could you capitolize Bluebonnet and then center Landscape Creations. Also, are there any other different, but similar cursive writing fonts you can show me?
I would also like to see how it would look to move the bluebonnet symbol to the left side, similar to entry #42.
Finally, what would it look like if we try using 2 different colors in Bluebonnet similar to entry #5 and then move the bluebonnet symbol to be centered above the bonnet portion. This may look goofy, but I want to explore all options! Thanks, Nancy
Hi Nancy, I still love the bluebonnet graphic so I dont want to change that right now but Is there a way to make the logo a little less feminime and introduce a little more structure like some of the Lambaise logos? Let me know! thanks, Randy
I like both of the new logos, except can we go back to the fullness of the old flower in entry #29 on both of them, it does look more realistic. Thanks!
Did you want the brush stroke edges (as on #29) or just more fullness?
Also -- do you plan on using this logo on vehicles or other larger at-a-distant applications? If so it can be quite helpful to view logos several paces away from the screen to imagine how effective they might be in that use.
If you intend to embroider your logo on shirts or have other pay-per-color applications, you might request that your top 8 designs presented to you in a single color (no gradient) version such as in #58.
Hi Nancy, I would like to add back the brush stroke edges.
I would like to be able to use the logo for the following applications: Website, brochures, yard signs, magnetic vehicle sign, golf shirts, T-shirts, letterhead, envelopes, business cards, and pens. Ideally, the contest winner would be willing to work with me on making these things happen. Thank you for your valuable feedback!
I have one more direction I wanted to see if you would like to pursue. The company I worked for 6 years has a logo I have admired. To view this go to www.gardendesignlandscaping.com I like the graphic portion of the logo that has the plant outline inside the irregular shaped box. This could go on top of the text or to the left side and could be done in shades combinations of blue, gray, black, and white. The use of shade or shadow could possibly be used as well. I just like their graphic, nothing about the text they have used. What do you think? Randy
Nancy, thank you for continuing to work with me on modifying your logos. I am going to ask you to make some changes per my preferences that will take you closer to some of the things a couple of the designers have done. Since it is me making this request (and you are not doing it of your own accord) and you will still be using your original bluebonnet artwork, I am hoping we are not getting into an ethics problem.
For these changes I would like to use the same letter font and double line application on top and bottom of the text that has been used in #94.
First, I would like you to use your bluebonnet applied into an irregular shaped box similar to #121. You can play around with different colors and background applications as that designer has done.
Secondly, I would like you to modify both your #148 and #149 logos to a version similar to #141 the uses the graphic line separating the text.
Finally, if you would like to try a cluster of your bluebonnets, I would like to see a version of the semi-circle graphic shown on #94. Thanks again for your hard work! Randy
