Our Target Audience:
Primarily: 45-65, Pacific Northwesterners who are high-net-worth individuals with children and grandchildren. They are concerned with the tax implications of their descendant's inheritance, and with the best way to protect their descendant's from the pitfalls of wealth (for example needing trusts). Lastly, they are interested in their legacy (for example setting up scholarships and donating to nonprofits).
Secondarily: 25-45 business start-ups that need assistance with protecting their intellectual property, i.e. creative types and entrepreneurs.
Grey or Black
Other possibilties: Forest Green and/or Burnt Orange
Most importantly, I would like it to translate to greyscale (I will be printing the logo on the letterhead with black and white laser printers), and read well on both light and dark backgrounds.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Necessary Content: Great Blue Heron.
Necessary Shape: It needs to be square or a horizontal rectangle in basic shape.
Necessary Reading: It needs to read on both a light and a dark background.
Font: the words "Blue Heron Law" all need the same weight/prominence. "LLC" can be smaller.
Possible aesthetic Ideas: Art Nouveau, pacific northwest pine trees, sunsets over San Juans and Bellingham Bay.
