Small Law Firm in the Pacific Northwest practicing law: primarily in estates and trusts (transmission of wealth), and secondarily in corporate law (Intellectual property and contract drafting).

Most importantly, I would like it to translate to greyscale (I will be printing the logo on the letterhead with black and white laser printers), and read well on both light and dark backgrounds.

Necessary Content: Great Blue Heron.
Necessary Shape: It needs to be square or a horizontal rectangle in basic shape.
Necessary Reading: It needs to read on both a light and a dark background.
Font: the words "Blue Heron Law" all need the same weight/prominence. "LLC" can be smaller.

Possible aesthetic Ideas: Art Nouveau, pacific northwest pine trees, sunsets over San Juans and Bellingham Bay.
