Color Preferences
We are leaning towards two different color groups:

A) Primary Colors RED YELLOW BLUE GREEN (you do not have to use all four colors but we prefer 3 over 2)

B) RED BLACK SILVER/GREY

We are open to other variations and ideas.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We would like the logo do be centered around the letter "U" as in "University" and then the words Benefit Auction incorporated somehow. The "U" must be in a collegiate style font. We are open to traditional design elements from University and College logos. A unique non stock or clip art gavel may be interesting as an added component. It must be clean and not too busy. It must be scalable and look as good on a business card as it does on a huge screen at a conference. It also need to be square in design rather then rectangular. The "U" will also be used alone as a design element and should be able to be singled out for design purposes. See examples of what we like here: http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu195/fasttlkr/

Discussion

Thank you to everyone for your submissions so far. We are very excited about the contest and look forward to having an amazing design in the end. We will comment as much as possible and continually update the rankings to keep everyone posted as to what we like.

Designers a few key points so far...

1) We are looking for BRIGHT VIBRANT COLORS please do not use earth tones or muted colors.
2) We are looking for a simple, clean yet very classy logo. Please try to stay away from anything too busy.
3) We do not want to use the abbreviated version of our name. So NO BAU"s please. 3 of the logos in our 4 that are ranked have the BAU abbreviation but we have asked the designers to revise their logos. We want the focus to be on the "U".
4) We are looking for dimension in the design. The logo should have depth and not look flat.

Thanks again and please let us know if you have any questions!

Here is a list of logos that we like with comments (you can cut and paste the link to see the logo)

Would really like to see some logos that have various elements similar to this one...clean, sharp & bold:

Really like the style and bevel that you see in the outline of the crest here:

The base of this logo that St. Georges Gryphons is in is very appealing and could look neat with Benefit Auction University incorporated into something similar with a U on top:
http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu195/fasttlkr/gryphon_logo.jpg

We would like to see some logos that have a gavel is similar to the sword in this logo but going through the U: http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu195/fasttlkr/83e3a2hhd0ojwgsgift2xdcyd.gif

This design is very appealing in several ways...we would like to see a U in a crest similar to this with Benefit Auction in big letters and University more subtle similar to this logo: http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu195/fasttlkr/Wealth.jpg

Good luck everyone......show us what you got!!!
