Coffee and Café

Beans & Beignets Café will focus on simplicity, quality and friendly hometown service in rural Iowa. An artisan coffee bar and curated breakfast and lunch menu in a comfortable environment will provide a wholesome and delicious meal at an affordable price. A casual french café in a historic building in small-town Iowa.

I have no specific pallet developed yet, but will be using the logo on clothing and a variety of branding and marketing materials as well as some retail items. Clean, simple, and reproducible in many formats is the priority. Black and/or gray, with highlights of color.

I like line art, or a sketched feel. If I had to put my perception of the brand in one image, the attached line art of the coffee cup and beans would be it.

We have discussed having a "beignet" in the logo, as opposed to the coffee cup....but many midwest people don't know what a beignet is (as it is largely associated with the souther US/New Orleans area) - and if you don't know what it is, it's hard to keep it from looking like a pillow. But I would not be opposed to using a beignet image if done well.
