There is a tendency for designers to use what looks like a 'comment' barb at the bottom of geometrical shapes. I assume that this refers to the consulting word in our title.

An IT consultant generally does much more than give advice. They often implement solutions. The 'Comment' shape actually weakens the logo by implying that it is all just talk.

Hope this helps.

To those people who are referencing a tower in their logos: it's not that important. The company has been in existence for30 years and the Tower of Babel reference was important then (we were making different mainframes talk the same language).

However since then our company has evolved to focus on small business networks, technology problems and security and the tower of Babel is not that evocative anymore.

Hope this helps.

A word about fonts-

A too plain font is boring, particularly if it looks like it wasn't given any thought. It would also be nice if a font was distinctive enough that my web designer could pick it up for use in other design elements.

Also, I find that gradients on some or all of the letters can be effective.

Hope this helps.

Some of the submissions have the phrase 'IT Consulting and Security' on them. This really helps to describe the company and is a benefit if it works. Of course, sometimes it screws up the simplicity of the logo.

Ideally, it would be nice to be able to add or remove that phrase depending on how the logo was going to be used.

But it's not worth it if it makes the logo less effective. Impact is much more important.

Hope this helps.
