Another option playing off the blue/orange you like so well... ;)
design, logomarks in 2009: design that stands out these days on the web is simple, clean, and memorable... reasons why is that it can easily break down into watermarks, etc for the print side of things - and typically the more simple, clear a design is the more flexible/scalable it becomes comes... which is great for branding because it allows for things such as a favicon (little logomark/icon up there in your web-browser) to help push along your brand-recognition - for a company such as yourself, if you plan on tying babble-cam into social-networking then its crucial to have something that scales well to small sizes for the mobile community...
webcams: something to keep in mind is what the general public is familiar with in terms of pop culture as well... I think it will be a long while before an add-on webcam is forgotten in terms of look, feel, experience... you still see many icons these days of TV's with an antenna... for one reason - it immediately ties the brain to television - without the addition - it wouldn't click in the brain and the initial reaction when viewing would come across as a square/box...
Hi Mogeek, thanks sooo much for your interest in our contest, your creative designs and your feedback/advice regarding designs and webcams. I've asked our marketing guy to read your comments and we will be discussing our logo in greater detail this morning. We will be providing more specific feedback/comments later this morning and look forward to seeing more of your ideas in new designs!!
Hello again... here are a few looks based upon your feedback... I personally like the version where one is curiously looking in the direction of the typeface, while the other two are having a chat... We can work with it more from here, just take a look at these and let me know what you guys think ;)
Here are the revisions requested... The first two are the initial color, typeface changes, with + without .com... The second two are the smaller whites of the eyes, with/without .com... thanks again...
