Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Hello folks, interesting stuff so far. Thanks for your entries. Here are my overall comments:
- Like the creative joining of the A and T, but not a fan of the stars
- Would be great to see a couple more examples with the green white and red from mexican flag as in #14, but serious and discreet, not too flashy
- Would like to see the letters without too much fade in color. Think one tone only is better for printing, seaming.
- I like that you either have a strong icon, like #24 or strong letters, like #7

Great stuff.

Here are a few comments:
I would eventually like an option in white background and in black/grey so please keep in mind when designing.
Robust AZTEK font is better.
We are probably going to drop the mexican flag colors, but thanks for those entries

Please keep in mind that this will be used for embroidery also, so gradients are difficult for that. We prefer simpler models. That said, we can also be ok with version with gradient for web and version without for printing depending on the design. However same for both is ideal.

Thanks a lot!

Great stuff folks we are really liking the entries.. .Would be great to get more ideas using a mexican pyramid (not egyptian). Still important to keep it simple, at least mildly related to steel.

Thanks!

Request from one of the stockholders of the company:

Can we see some options that have more representation of the activities performed in the company? Independent of pyramid and mexico colors. Here are the activities:
- Metal punching
- Silhouette outlining on sheet metal
- Laser deep metal cutting

Thanks a lot for the great entries.

Would be great to see something different based on these comments.

Things we like:
- Robust or strong aztek font, like #62, #80, #39
- Some metal direct reference, like screws on #136; maybe cutting instead of screws could reference our activity better
- when you show three options for same logo with green, red or blue, it is interesting

I think we should forget the mexican flag colors in same logo. We tried the concept, but at the end are not convinced.

Would like to see more color grey or silver to represent steel.

Please keep in mind to minimize gradients.

Maybe if we think of an object cutting through... like laser metal cutting... or something punching through metal. Would be great to see options playing with these concepts.

Hey guys good stuff, just a small observation:
When drawing a laser cutting, try not to make it look like a pointer or a wand, we are looking for something more solid, but it´s in the correct direction showing the activities of the company

Hello folks, we have a meeting in 6 hours to decide on finalists.

Client
One of the two owners explicitly asked to see examples of a logo showcasing what the do.

#152 is one example, but the "star" at the end of the laser is not entirely to our liking.

How else can you represent, cutting, metal punching? Would love to see a few ideas before the meeting....

Thanks!

#39 and #136 have interesting concepts with screws

Client
for these last entries, we encourage you to try something different.

Try something that does not have pyramids, does not have green white and red.

Thanks!

#33 and #35 show great "high tech" symbolism... but would be great to see without gradients.

I like the cutting concept represented in #187

What if a pyramid is a puncturing press? Can you guys make that happen?

Client
A silhouette being cut out of a metal sheet into something strong, robust?

Client
Please remember embroidery! Minimize gradients, too complex shadows, shiny metal, etc. Would rather keep it to solid colors.

So far we have seen many good ideas, but we haven't found one that really makes us want to change to that logo. That’s why we are having a hard time ranking the 5 best designers and we asked for a one day extension

Some helpful tips:
- Try something more abstract for the logo like #62 or #190. We would like to have a new symbol with a meaning to represent us.
- We like the font used in #82
- Try using lower case letter also, to see if we like the fonts better

Thanks a lot

Wow, great production. But we have barely seen any lowercap designs! Please provide some options with these either in the "aztek" or "technologies" part of the logo.

Hi, we really like the font of #336, can we shoot a couple of alternatives with these designs please?

Thanks!

hello folks, can we also play around with colors as well? Also playing with: smallcaps/largecaps and font.

Would like to see a couple of brighter color options.
