Hello Everyone!

This is our second contest - we really loved all the entries we've had from our previous contest and hope to have all the talented artists back here again. We wish you a lot of fun designing the logos and I would like to thank every single one on in advance for their hard work, we really appreciate the time and effort you invest in this logo tournament!

Thanks for the first entries, wow that went fast!

Just as a note - you may use (we'd actually love to see it) if you use shades and gradients from the colours - also the Red colour of the austrian flag is a bit too bright on monitors and look rather cheap. Since the Logo would most often be printed on lables and used on websites/brochures etc. you may make it more with gradients and stuff - For the stiched versions we would "simplify" the logo ourself later on and make them non-gradient-colours again.

Info about the Austrian - Bird - Logo in #9 for example - we are not allowed to use this official Logo (don't ask me why, it's a stupid austrian law) beside of that I don't like the logo to be "traditional" - we hate that old style bird actually, it remembers too much of the post-Worldwar 2 time. We prefer something really flashy, new stylish.

Also the pitts-plane is not a "must" - you may take any other aerobatic plane as well like mx2, extra 300 or similar..

Ill have a look at my logo again maybe try something different. But can I ask why say the national bird would be a good addition and then say one we cant use it anyway due to the law which is beyond control. And two you dont actualy like the bird anyway?? I think more information would've helped me not waste my time.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding. We'd like to have the national bird in the logo - in brown, gold or whatever and in a cool shape maybe like the navy pilots Badge or something. But NOT the official national austrian bird-Logo/Symbol. this one was made more than 100 years ago, it's th eoffical Logo (and ugly in my opinion) and way way way too old style too - and .. we're not allowed to use it. So we are allowed to use the bird of course, but not the official national logo of the bird.

we did some research on the web on logos, badges, picturers, and stuff that we "like" - this means these links contain elements in their pictures that we like, and that "might" fit into our logo. If you try to put everything together in one logo it might be too much, but we try to add a comment on every link so you have an idea of why we like that special thing.

this one is a nice pair of wings, the shape looks good altough we'd like to see it more "sharp" and sleek, but the "dirty" looks of it reminds of a harley davidson logo and actually that style would fit pretty good to us... we think..

we like the idea of the letter inside, could be an "A" or "AAT" or maybe a plane or something?..

gotta love the simplicity of this logo yet it still has all necessary details of the head.. lovely! We'd like to see our eagle (if there's one in the logo you create) in this style or similar. There is a similar style logo from the Philadelphia Eagles - we like that one too..

Yet another eagle head. This one is probably the most simpliest, we do like the previous before better..

The idea to have stars or other elemtns around is good

this one reminds me of what you guys already submitted but it has more detail in it if you take a look. There are squares etc. (instead of stars for example) that just give the Logo a more professoinal, honourable look, altough, this logo in particular would also still be too "simple" - look further down for what we're looking for

Here's an example of what we DO NOT LIKE - this logo - as in shape and elemtns does look good, but way too cheap. The colours look cheap and there are no detailed elements like stars, anchors (just as example) like in the navy logo or elsewhere. We do realized that we love blue backgrounds by the way...

Here's an example of a perfect simple logo that yet shows a lot of "luxury" if you want with the blue background, the eagle in brown, etc.. we like that style

Stands for pride, and everything associated with it.. great logo, looks great as a badge, looks awesome..


ok, I hope this helped a little - and hopefully didn't confuse anybody. It's tough I guess because it's not like a real company logo what you guys have to design, I still hope you'll make up a great design and please don't forget - the elements we said before like: the national bird, that plane, etc. they do not "have" to be in the logo. If you think you have a better idea or something totally different please feel free to try.

It's the last day of the contest and we'd like to thank evryone so far for their entries.

As you might have noticed some things have changed in the ranking - we've sat down on the weekend and the 4 of have choosen their favourites and given points to them. The current No. 1 is #21 - by points. But anyhow the first three at this moment are all pretty much at the same level, we just cannot decide so far which one's the best :)

NO STOCK CLIP ART IMAGES

Submission rules:

* NO CLIPART (ISTOCKPHOTO, SHUTTERSTOCK, ETC.) EVEN IF YOU OWN THE RIGHTS.
* NO TRACING OR VECTORIZATION OF EXISTING CLIPART OR PHOTOGRAPHY (UNLESS YOU TOOK THE PICTURE)
* 350x280 pixels or (width/height ratio of 1.25:1) in JPG, PNG, or GIF format
* Only one variation per upload (example: if you want to show a logo in red, blue, and yellow. You would create and upload 3 separate files)
* No designer firm watermarks
* Neatly centered both horizontally and vertically with spacing all around. (No ugly oversized logos that hit the edges, negative space is a designer's friend!)
* No Borders - we are building a clean and consistent community portfolio.
* Your work must be created in a vector program such as Adobe Illustrator, and the final files MUST be delivered in .EPS format. Photoshop is not for logos and.
