It's not bad, but it's not popping out at me. The diamond shape ◊ really doesn't attract me, it seems to take the FUN out of the logo. Is there anyway you could incorporate a star shape or several stars? I'm just trying to think here.
I still like the diamond symbol even in this one. I'm not too sure about the "atg" I like handwriting fonts (it does normally add some class) but right here with "atg" it just looks weird (but it's probably because I am not used to seeing just "atg" by itself)
Thanks for trying new concepts, you are still my first pick.
Actually I DID think about changing the brand name. "Audio To Go" really sounds too much like a car stereo store. Or if it is associated with us as a DJ, it just says "ah they play music" But we have evolved into much more than just music - as you have learned this week.
But after several years of trying to come up with a new name, I gave up on that after my business consultant made a good point. He said that if I changed the company name, people may wonder if somethign bad happened, A lot of times, companies will change their name if they had something bad happen and they want to get rid of some of the negativity from that event. I don't want anyone to think that we ever did anything that would force us to change names. Also since we have been around since 2000, a lot of people know us by "Audio To Go" and we would have to start all over with the branding process.
I don't know what it is but I just keep coming back to #90 I still like it. I know that my wife and my office manager didn't know what the headphones were right at first but is there anyway we can make it more clear so they would know? Or would you have to be real detailed and it would change the whole look?
Thanks for uploading, but no I don't think that will work because the headphones are the main subject or stand out too much. Although, I know if they don't - then people will not know what they are. Gosh this sure is hard.
I would still like to see the headphones laying down I guess like I spoke about but with my last idea:
"Ok, what if we used #90 and took the band of the headphones off, so that it was just the diamond with a white circle that had the word "DJ" in it.
So basically just take the headband off of the headphones in #90"
that way it would still look good beside OR above the "Audio To Go" becuase it would still have the point of the diamond to go down between the "O" and the "T" like you have in #82.
If we do the headphones laying down, you will not have that option. We will still be able to put it above but I think it will be a lot busier.
#163 yeah I like it somewhat and a simple logo is perfectly fine with me and I agree that they are sometimes the best, however, I don't think someone is going to see the headphones again (back to our original problem.)
Ok #167 I like. Let's tweak it some though. The "DJ" needs to stand out a little more The "J" in the "DJ" almost blends in with the blue circle (blue ring that is inside the white circle)
So try this: Get rid of the blue ring and just have one white circle with "DJ" in it Make the "DJ" a darker blue, same color as "Audio To Go"
Basically it would look like #106 without the headband
The more I think about it, that might just be it! That way it would be simple, classy (with the diamond), and it would SAY what we do rather than people having to intrepret a symbol.
If you have alredy started the headphone design, you can show it to me just for kicks, but I think I am going to like the idea that I just posted the best.
It will be small, classy, and simple.
and in future ads if I wanted to I could always make several diamonds and put "DJ" in one "MC" in another, "VJ" in another (for video jockey) yet they would all be small and classy and not clash with each other. Yeah I think that I am really liking that idea rather than getting too complicated with it.
It has been a pleasure working with you as well. You have definitely spent the most time on this and have really shown that you were intereseted in this project!
I like #171 and #172 but not sure even with the cord if people are going to know that they are headphones right away. Plus with #171 the DJ is larger, darker, and more easily read even when it is shrunk down really small.
#171 is versatile, simple, and I think is just what we need. I would like to see it on several different color backgrounds for example: black background, blue background (as if I was wearing a blue collared staff shirt) and other colors that it may look good on top of.
Can you also show me a grayscale version on different backgrounds as well? How about even just a black and white version (NOT GRAYSCALE) strictly black or white
and one final thing, will you enlarge the diamond and put it back above "Audio To Go" so that I can see the latest version of the diamond above it. Thanks
I was messing around with the look of it, and instead of putting the diamond ABOVE "Audio To Go" put it BELOW "Audio To Go"
That way when people read it, they see "Audio To Go" then they see "DJ" So they would read it as ""Audio To Go - DJ" rather than seeing the "DJ" first if it were on top and that would read weird. That way it would say "DJ - Audio To Go"
Also by putting the diamond underneath if you make the diamond big enough it almost makes the WHOOLE logo a triangle with the point being down at the bottom. NEAT!
I DO really like #192 BUT I only think it will work blown up big like that.
If it is an ad where I have to do the icon BESIDE "Audio To Go" and shrink it down, then the "DJ" becomes smaller and the headphones may get lost.
But I think I can use it as a variation. I know you are supposed to keep a logo consistent, but you can add a slight variation to it sometimes if it doesn't change the whole concept.
For instance, Coca Cola has some cans out here in the US with a picture of a grill and the flames coming out of the grill is the words Coca Cola (the words are forming a flame shape) Or there is another with sun glasses. so you can kind of modify a logo if you don't totally change it and it should be fine .
That is AWESOME! I am totally HAPPY! I will not be around today as I do not work on Sundays, but I will talk with you first thing tomorrow! Thanks again.
