Athlete's ScorecardLogo Design Contest

This is my first idea: a stylized abacus as scorecard. Red for the top element.
Dynamic, contemporary and clean. Any feedback is appreciated.

Very cool and clean..I like it! Actually, I thought the abacus was a DNA strand (nice abstract way to capture the person 'athlete')

- I like the layout of entry #4 best with the vertical line
- I like the font color and spacing of the company name in Entry#6 best (combine with above?)
- The circle outer ring could be removed and some kind of gradient applied to the fill for a bit more modern look?
- Have the ladder shape a bit more DNA shaped

Thank you for your feedbacks. I am very pleased you like my design. Here are a few more ideas:
- #8,#9, #10 abacus in a square frame without the ladder
- #12, #13, #14, #15 a more minimalist version of the original idea (elements combined in different positions and color combinations)
- #16 and #18 same as #6 with changes you suggested (circle outer ring removed gradient, font color and spacing)
- #17 let's play with the "DNA strand" idea: ladder shape DNA shaped inside a circle with deep blue gradient applied. This idea could work with any combination of the previous entries (circle/square, font colors, element positions, etc.). Please consider this.

So far, I really like what you have put together and entries are still my first choice. A couple of requests..
- can you keep all 4 balls together and still look like "DNA" helix?
- There should be 3 balls together in a line, with 1 ball above. (like entry #21)
- all balls the same color as used in "Athlete's"
- I am still not sure if I like the white background w/ blue line or the blue background one better yet.....

thank you for your interest in my design.
I'm not sure I have understood your first request, but I have put 3 balls together in a line with 1 ball above, all the same color (entry #34). I upload also a version with light grey gradient on the helix, maybe you like it (#35)
Regardings your choice about white/blue background logo, the first version is more "minimalist" and the second is "bolder". You could use the two versions depending on contest. I hope this aid in your election.

Regarding file formats, I can provide .EPS format with fonts converted to outlines, or AI format. JPG and PNG off course. If you need a particular file format, tell me: I will be pleased to help you.

Great, let's go ahead with #36. Only a couple (hopefully small) requests:
- can you rotate the image a bit clockwise so that the 3 circles are completely in line horizontal?
- can you have the text and vertical like like #34?
- .ai and .eps formats (+jpg) would be good.

If these changes are OK with you, I'll stop the contest...
