In this design I removed the small line that gave the impression of a curved arm, just so you could see it.

Hi mlelli -
Here are the updated versions. I've reduced the size of the paws. The paws are technically still oversized, but having them just a touch bigger than reality will help them maintain easy readability when reproduced at a smaller size. I've added the biz name in the circular border. I look forward to hearing from you.

I've downsized the paws further. I also added the light beams and also a lake scene in the background. I thought the lake sunrise might be nice since Muskegon has that beautiful lake. I can do a version with the AVMA symbol in it, the only concern there is it is a copyrighted symbol, but I do beleive you are free to use it if you are a member. I'll have those for you tomorrow 1.25.10

Thank you!

I've also uploaded the versions with the AVMA symbol. I just want to make sure I'm giving you a logo you can use freely, without having to worry about copyright issues.

I hope you like the new designs. I've uploaded some of the designs that you currently had ranked, but with the smaller paws, just in case you like the paws better on the new designs.

Hi Melinda. I've reranked the work you've done after going over them with my staff. We all like your work. However, we're all in agreement, we need the paws to look more like actual dog and cat paws. The cat paw has it's nails extended which is not the normal position of the cats nail when it's relaxed. I want to give the viewer the feeling of relaxation, contentment and healing and not tension. Could you revamp the dog and cat paws?

Hi There. Sure, I'll revamp the paws. That is a great observation about the nails. I appreciate your feedback, it is very specific and easy to follow. I'll check out some more pictures of paws today. You will see the new paws up later today.

Hi There. Thanks for the confirmation about the AVMA. I figured you probably were a member. I just didn't want to cause any trouble in that department. Sure, I'll revamp the paws. That is a great observation about the nails. I appreciate your feedback, it is very specific and easy to follow. I'll check out some more pictures of paws today. You will see the new paws up later today.

Ok, I've retracted the cats claws. I've also change the shape of the cats paw to look less like its griping the dog. I soften up the dogs nails and added fur to soften up the shape. I feel like it really relaxed the look quite a bit. I hope that you agree. :)

Yup, paws look better now and give more of a feeling of friendship I think. I wonder if you could change the overall shape just a bit. It lost a bit of the circle affect and got a bit tall. I wonder if you could streach it from side to side, making it oval? Not football shaped, just a little longer from side to side than top to bottom.

Sure Mark I'll change the circle. Glad you like the paws better.

Referencing #48, #49, #50.

Hi Mark. I have made a few changes here. I think the reason the circle was looking longer is because having the type at the top of the circle has a lot of white space in it. So I've adjusted a few things to give the circle a more equal appearance. I've moved the type down a little also.
#50 Has a thicker font and a thinner line
#49 Has the normal font weight and a thinner line
#48 Has the normal font weight, and the original line weight

Best Wishes,
Melinda

One of the things I'm contending with is placing the logo in our rectangular road sign. I thought if the logo was oval that might allow for the lettering to remain large enough to be read easier. Otherwsie the whole logo would have to be smaller overall to fit the demensions of the sign.

Hi Mark -
My mistake for misunderstanding you what needed. I've reworked the design to be oval. I hope that will fit your sign. I'd really like to make this work for you.

Great! I'm glad you like it. : ) It seems like the oval shape changed the mood a little bit too, it seems more serene to me. More like an embrace.
