Discussion

wookasheen,
I just recently learned of the ability for me to send messages directly to the designers, so I apologize if you haven't heard about my opinions on your logo before now. I really like the idea of having the A be made in an axis. In the work that I do, we often have an axis, although our graphs usually start at the zero, zero point and curve downward (see http://www.math.ucdavis.edu/~brad/teaching/12/xnimg/xn34.png). I would also like to see if this graphic could be used to replace the A at the beginning of the logo -- so that the entire design is more landscape.

More briefly -- you are definitely on to something, and I do hope to see more ideas / variations from you.
Thanks,
Phil

H , thanx for good feedback, here is edited version. Please tell me if you want to see this image in higher resolution, so I can upload it on some other site. Best regards. Wuk

Wuk,
Excellent edit. I'd love it if you could make the colors darker (to make them stand out more).

Is there a way to make the first A a little more obvious an A? Maybe shadow or thicken the piece of the line as it passes through the A? A little modification may make it more obvious. I really liked the dotting of the i.
Great work,

Wuk,
I think you have definitely hit on the idea for the chart. I really like #28, it has good colors, the axis, and everything else I think it needs. I really like the concept, and I can't think of anything else that would improve it.

Thanks for experimenting with other variations, too. #27 convinced me that the two color scheme is better, #26 convinced me that no tic marks are better than tic marks, and #29 convinced me that my thoughts about making some of the words out of focus doesn't work too well (there are so many bad graphics on the Web, that I don't think you can always tell intentional un-focusing).
I'm going to put some of these variations lower in the rankings just to declutter, but know that I do it only because your best variation stands out at the moment.
Thanks again,
Phil

Ok, seems that you like generic stock charts logo better than this. Please let me know do you still want to consider my idea or not so I can move on. Best regards. Wuk
