At the moment im thinking you are after something very conservative so i devised this very simple yet still unique AHEP lettermark.i chose the typeface as its quite conservative, clean and easy to read, while still having an approachable and friendly feel to it =)let me know if im on the right track or not, thanks!bugy(This comment references Entry #5) 15 years ago mmacdona Client Fantastic. We love it. This is definitely on the right track. We like that it's modern, simple, unique, and bold. Very clever how you've formed the AHEP acronym into an abstract form. We also like how you've separated the abstract mark from the company name with the vertical divider. Very clean and crisp. You're right on that we're looking for something fairly conservative, and the blue color captures that nicely (as many financial institutions, chase, goldman, morgan, etc have done) I'd be interested in seeing some other variations of the design to see how it changes the readability of the AHEP acronym, as well as any other ideas you have! 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer thanks for the great feedback, here is a revision:making the A slightly abstract to match the rest of the letters(This comment references Entry #8) 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer type layout option(This comment references Entry #9) 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer typeface option, let me know which one you prefer(This comment references Entry #10) 15 years ago mmacdona Client Great, thanks for revisions. We liked the typeface and layout of #5 and #8 where "American Home" is over the "Equity Partners". A couple of our team members thought that while the design was clever and abstract, it might be difficult for some to read. They thought that perhaps we could try and "stretch" it out a bit more so that each letter was a little more distinguishable ... where the A, H, and P were fairly distinct and the E remained the 3 horizontal bars. It might be interesting to try a variation with the bars in a different color (dark red, perhaps). As well, given your design talent, the team was interested in seeing what you might be able to come up with for a symbol (rather than the acronym workmark). There is a chance that we may change our company name at some point, and so having a symbol that we could reuse with a new name could be very helpful. We still like how you've used the vertical separator to clearly distinguish the abstract design component from the company name. 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer thanks for the detailed feedback =)here is a less abstract version of the AHEP lettermark(This comment references Entry #28) 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer with eh E in red as suggestedill see what i can come up with in terms of an abstract mark(This comment references Entry #29) 15 years ago mmacdona Client Great, thanks Bugy. Looks really good. I'll run this by the whole team. Will look forward to seeing what you come up with for an abstract mark. 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer hello, sorry about the delay, its taken me a while to think up an abstract mark that im happy with.i went with the idea of making a graph into a house. the standard house shape is very very very overused in logo design so i tried to keep it as abstract as possible. The gap in the middle is the door, with the smaller shape on the top being a chimney =)any feedback would be great, thanks(This comment references Entry #38) 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer here is a variation in case you felt the other one was too abstract(This comment references Entry #39) 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer same idea, different way of showing it(This comment references Entry #40) 15 years ago bugy Logo Designer having the graph finish on a high(This comment references Entry #41) 15 years ago mmacdona Client Thanks bugy for the new logos. Of the new designs, I think I like #39 and #40 the best. As you say, the house image has been overdone, so it's nice how you've abstracted it. When we were thinking about the logo ourselves, we had mocked up something very similar to your #39, except that we overlaid a grid onto the house breaking it into small squares. The squares in the grid were blue, except for one (in the lower right corner) which was red, to signify the equity we would be investing into the home. Could we see that variation on #39? 15 years ago mmacdona Client Another variation to try (similar to my prior post) would be to use a square that was composed of 9 smaller squares, all in blue, except for the one (in the lower right corner) which was red. There are probably lots of variations on this theme that could be quite interesting. We'd be interested in seeing this as well. 15 years ago mmacdona Client For #29, could we tweak it slightly by increasing the font size of "American Home" and "Equity Partners"? 15 years ago
