For more than half a century, AJFC Community Action has been a trusted advocate for individuals and families in Southwest Mississippi, helping them overcome poverty by giving voice to the needs and concerns of disadvantaged communities.

By investing in community-based anti-poverty strategies, we confront the cycle of poverty head-on. Using a holistic approach, we leverage resources and funding from our local, state and federal partners to implement various services and programs to help low-income families reach and maintain self-sufficiency.

With the support of volunteers and donations from concerned community members, we’re creating pathways to safer living conditions, education, nutrition and employment opportunities. Together, we will strengthen families and grow stronger economies while making Southwest Mississippi a better place to live, work and play.
