Additional ideas to get your imaginations going ... often within the theme of adoption we see symbols like:
1. a tree with roots (referring to the roots of biological connection plus branches of adoptive connections)
2. interlocking figurative symbols (recognizing the interdependence of each party in the adoption triad ie: birth family, adopted person, adoptive family)
3. triangle/pyramid (adoption triad)
4. interlocking "A" "K" "A" ... don't know if there is an effective way to interlock the letters of our name while keeping the spelled out rest of the name ...
