Discussion

The logo will predominantly be on a web site (in a header). I fear that the depth of the logo (3 lines) will be too much - could you re-enginer with ''adaptive' and 'process immprovement' frouped together,

Can you reduce the font size in #37 for 'adaptive' to that in #39/#38 (without dropping the tail of 'p' to second text line ? the adaptive here is a little to big .

thanks

Revision of #37 to change type (I made a small adjustment to avoid an awkward collision with the letter "I" in improvement.) Please let me know if you'd like to see anything else.

Best,

John

Yes we have it now ! #43 is perfect.

with #44 , can you place the text in the same way as #43 ?
would this look ok with white space between the traingle and letter 'a' OR would the triangle(s) be rotated LEFT by 90 degrees

Some further questions for YOU. (dont want you to amend any logos etc)
The logo design will be prominently web based, but may also be used in print form in conference papers etc.
Are there any other colours that would work as well as the blue (for instance purple, green, orange etc)?
If the logo was used on a black background in a web site header what would need to change in the colour scheme?
If the logo was to be used with any web background colour what would be the best one to use?

Thanks for the great effort
and I think we are almost there

There are several colors that will work well, I choose blue because it's associated with success & winning, but I'd be glad to produce versions in any color you wish.

This particular blue is advantageous because it is a universally available color, the shades are tints of the main color (allowing for excellent results using less expensive 2-color printing when needed) It is also bright enough to show well on a black background (with white type). The logo blue can remain the same throughout.
If you would like to preserve the "fade effect" of #44-46, I could apply a darker shade to the last triangle, getting progressively brighter toward the foreground.

As for other backgrounds, I do believe, personally, that white is the strongest. But this logo can certainly me made to work with any color you choose.

Thanks for the feedback!

I did like the concept of the fading traingles in #45 and #46 but it doesnt seem to fit well now we have aligned the text (which I do prefer). So I think we stick with #43 which is a great clean design.

Last two things then;-
1) could you please show #43 how it would look on a black background, and
2) just for comparison, could you choose another colour that you think might work on web and print as I say just for a comparison (the red in yor ireach logo looks good on white background ?)
... but I am very happy with #43 as-is

Thanks a lot
Enjoy the rest of the weekend

More great feedback from others later in the day

If you can think of another colour that might work as well - just give it a go !

Can you revise #38 to make the text the same as #46

I may close the competition early

Here is one reviewer
Sorry to say it - many of the logos [other logos submitted] sends me strange signals - e.g. products as Nike. The two I like most is #39 (best), #43 and #58 all by Johnone
I find #39 best because it signals that something is going stable. #43 send the signal, that it will be better.
Wonder how it would look like if the color was red instead of blue at #39.

Interesting comment
I dont think that adaptive should show instability (going stable) as one should be adapting based on a stable base. adaption however signifies movement and in fact we are also talking about improvement so #38 and #43/#58 show this with the #43/#58 also at a slant showing incremental improvement.
It is interesting that the colour does in fact make a difference to the choice so another colour sample may indeed provide even more opportunity.

Hope this positive feedback helps

Thanks

I am a little colour blind (so my family tell me) and I have difficulty distinguishing between blues and greens sometimes - hence I cant see (me personally) that much difference in colour between #43 and #79 - can you withdraw #79 and try another colour ?

Also now I like the #79 ! SO can we have this in red also

It will be down to #48 or #79 (in blue) or #43 or #nn (in red) as far as I can see

I will still get the opinions of more of my colleagues on the differing sytle designs and let you know tomorrow around 20 hours from now.

Great Work

ok I can see the green in #80 - sorry I was writing as you were posting...
but is the green the same as in #79 (as it looks lighter to me)?

am I crazy, colourblind or is there really some difference (#80 works for me!)

Logo Designer
Yes, # 80 is a different green, lighter and brighter. Did you also want to see #79 is red? It will be basically the same as #58 unless you want a different shade. Otherwise, I'll just wait for your next round of feedback.

Cheers,

John

Last one #80 in red

Question - when it comes to final ranking - what happens if one designer gets rankings of 1, 2 and 3 etc :- do they get gold, silver and bronze, or are they only awarded gold? In other words does a designer get credit only for highest place or for all places ?

Logo Designer
Points are awarded to the 1, 2, and 3 trophies even if they come from the same designer (still working on mine, lol). Incidentally, I have been working as a designer for about 20 years although I am brand new to LT.

You might just get there !

#45 this is obviously a good design !

the top blue traingle is coming across too bright
i think you are using the bright trainagle for the smaller triangles in the other logos
you could try the red or green ? or soften the blue a little?
or something else

By the way, I am hpoing you'll enter my other competition Impronova - really looking for an inspiration there for my new company logo

In #45, the blue color is the same as the others, but is perceived as "brighter" because of the gradient lighting effect for the 3D. I can soften the lighting effect if you like, and show you some other colors. "Softening" the light will give a more diffused, matte appearance. "Hardening" the light will make the color darker overall. Do you have a sense of what you would like? I will post new versions in approx. 2 hours.

John
