Since having a recent brush with death, the winemaker thought about how lucky he was to have his life above ground. Sort of a "tongue in cheek" reference.

Hi, Just curious as to what your 'original story' is, and how the rabbit really plays in? :-)

we started our small vineyard of 38 vines. The second winter came with 44 inches of snow and wild rabbits that lived on the property were looking for ANYTHING to eat. They ate the the all the vines that peeked out from the top of the snow, down to the root stock. When the snow cleared from the ground and the vines started to sprout, we had only had 29 Vines. Which was our winery name, but.... we need to change because another winery has rights to the number 29 as it relates to wine. It is not necessary to incorporate the rabbit, but we do keep going back to it. Our winery currently has a logo and web site at www.29vines.com. Hope this helps.
