The trunk also hints at the shape of a person...arms outstretched, but not too blatant. Strong colors reflecting growth and stability. Works well as a stand-alone, or combined with typography.(This comment references Entry #5) 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer ...with the addition of leaves.(This comment references Entry #6) 15 years ago montoshlall Logo Designer great designcongrats 15 years ago cshearman Client This is really nice. I very much like this logo. I'm just wondering if we've left behind the original gift/charity/benevolent idea a bit far away. Perhaps not? Either way, it's really nice in its abstract form, and I like it. I'm no artist/designer, so would love to see any further variants/concepts and ideas you have on this. The version without the leaves and text (#5) is a bit too abstract I think. 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer Thanks so much for the comments and input. I will continue to explore additional options as well.Cheers!Kim 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer another variation of the package...using only 4 leaves as the bow.(This comment references Entry #24) 15 years ago cshearman Client Nice one! Some more really nice logos (#24 and #25)...OK - so now I am beginning to wonder about the tree idea a bit. I seemed to make sense originally. I'm not sure that the people I've asked to take a look at the logos (who understand what the company are about, but didn't necessarily read all the brief I've put here) are getting it. I hope I'm not asking too much, but could you see what you can do with the cube part of the logo to make it a bit more obviously 'gifty'? (and perhaps the tree bit a bit less tree-y?) I do really like the colours and simplicity of your designs though, and so feel free to leave behind the tree and gift box ideas entirely if you think that other shapes would represent what the company is about in a better way. Thanks again. Please do keep the ideas coming.Chris 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer A gift in the colors of the globe...with a bow made of 2 hearts.(This comment references Entry #49) 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer A gift...made with a gift tag, and a bow of leaves... representing community, growth and giving.(This comment references Entry #52) 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer A variation...with a gift bow.(This comment references Entry #94) 15 years ago cshearman Client Hi peachdz9Well I'm being innundated with logos at the moment! Your #49 has been praised amongst the people I've asked to take a look and give me their opinions. Interestingly, it's one of the few that's just a simple present shape, and so it would be great to see that idea explored a bit more. Suggested to make the text a bit bigger, and logo to sit left of it. Would be great to see some variants on that. Many thanksChris 15 years ago cshearman Client Hi peachdz9Ignore the bit about text and logo to the left from my previous comment. Logo #49 is really growing on me. I'd love to see some variants on it. Perhaps different colours? The only other tiny, minor comment from a graphic designer friend of mine was that the gap between the t and W needs to be a fraction bigger, and the gap between the W and o needs to be a fraction smaller... otherwise this looks really good.ThanksChris 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer New letter size and spacing. Various color combos.(This comment references Entry #116) 15 years ago cshearman Client HiI believe that in judging mode, we can request a few final tweeks if that's possible...So I think we are nearly there - my wife and I disagree slightly between #121 and #116 - but it will be one of those two, or a combination of colours of one, design of the other. The colours on #121 seem sharper - not sure if it's because it's a darker background and lighter colours, or if it's actually something to do with the image quality. If it's the image quality on #116, then please can we see #116 with the sharper colour definition on the edge of the light blue and green shapes? We prefer the ribbon on #121, and my wife prefers #121 colours, however, I prefer #116, so would like to see the ribbon shape on #121 on the colours of #116.Finally, on #121, the ribbon is pale blue, and when printed in monochrome on a white background, it doesn't have much contrast where it sticks out at the top of the box. Please could we see #121 with the bow in the slightly darker blue, just so it stands out more? Many thanksChris 15 years ago cshearman Client One final comment... if it's not too much hassle, I'd love to see a bow like in #121 but asymmetrical... not sure how easy that is, but if it's possible to see a sample that would be great.thanks so muchChris 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer Darker original bow...and colors on stripes reversed to accommodate.(This comment references Entry #144) 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer New, asymmetrical bow on black package. Let me know if this is the style bow you were hoping for...or, if you want me to take it even further.(This comment references Entry #145) 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer Blue green combo with new bow. Note: I changed the colors slightly to create a bit more contrast.(This comment references Entry #147) 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer Blue green stripes on black package for another option. New bow. Let me know if I gave you all the variations you were hoping for...or, if you need to see anything else. Thanks! Kim(This comment references Entry #148) 15 years ago cshearman Client Hi KimThese look great. I definitely prefer the more asymmetric bow - could even be taken a little further. The new colours are good too, and I've ranked them how I prefer them currently. Will take a look with my partner later to see what she thinks. Any chance of seeing #148 with colours reversed (i.e. green ribbon)? Thanks againChris 15 years ago cshearman Client Hi KimOK - we both agree that we like #148 the best. Would be good to see a slightly more asymmetric bow, and also perhaps to try different words bold in the agiftworthgiving.co.uk bit below. Perhaps just make 'worth' bold, and the rest not bold. Hard to tell how that would look - would be good if you could try a few options with that (if it's not too much trouble?).Many thanks indeedChris 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer Hi Chris!Let me know if this bow is close to what you are looking for.Multiple variations to follow. Thanks. Kim(This comment references Entry #172) 15 years ago tini1 Logo Designer peachdz9.....awesome design:-) 15 years ago cshearman Client Hi KimSooo close now. Re #172 - please could we see with all text bold, or all text not bold?ThanksChris 15 years ago cshearman Client Hi KimOne other thing.... I'm designing the website etc just now, and I'm thinking it will be nice to bring some of the logo colours into the fonts etc used on the site. Would it be possible to see #172 as it is, but with the bow in a darker blue that I could use for some text. i.e. leave the coloured vertical panels as they are, but with a darker blue bow? It may not work, but it would be interesting to see if it would lend itself well to the design of the rest of the site. Many thanksChris 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer Hi Chris,Here is one option. I kept it in the same aqua tones...but, two steps darker. I like how it looks. What do you think?(This comment references Entry #200) 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer ...and, a more "purply" blue. :)(This comment references Entry #202) 15 years ago cshearman Client Hi KimThanks for the variants you posted recently. We've done lots of printing out tonight, and think actually that the ones on black with the darker blue bow are just a bit too dark. I'm sure my printer's not perfect, but I think we like #147 most. Could we see that one the same, but with the more distorted bow, and the .co.uk bit in a darker blue? Many thanksChris 15 years ago peachdz9 Logo Designer Here is the #1 ranked entry...with the new bow...and the small type the same dark blue as the package.(This comment references Entry #203) 15 years ago
