Slogan
Believing in You and Your Total Heath
What We Do
I am a dentist that cares for the whole person- I am picturing the wheel of life that is sometimes used for people to describe the different roles we have such as: Career, family, relationships and Heath, etc- I am picturing that wheel with Health next to dental like" Health/dental then highlighting "dental" somehow and building the dental case from there---
Not to confuse you but below are just bullet points that give the dentist the LINK to the whole body - just to give you a feel- Thank you:
TAG LINE: Believing in you and your total health.-

-Believing in Your Total Health one tooth at a time
-Inflammation in your mouth –can lead to disease in the body. Such as:

• Heart disease
• Anemia
• Contribute to Diabetes
• Respiratory difficulties
• Prosate
• Rheumatoid Arthritis
-Health Mouth- health body- Making the connection
-The health of your mouth gives us a hint into the rest of your body
HEADLINE: We help you look and feel your best. We look at your whole health picture, treat you with genuine care and provide beautiful results.

YOUR POSITIONING STATEMENT [BUILD TRUST]:
Dr. Dinsmore is not your typical dentist. He focuses on those things that help you and your family lead a happy, healthy life.

1. Your whole health picture - We understand your past, correctly diagnose the present and plan for your future. We understand that the mouth is the window to your whole health picture and treat you accordingly.

2. Genuine Care - We really do care about you as an individual. We want you to feel important, because you are. This is why we take the time to understand your total health picture and how it relates to your oral health. We offer our patients a concierge service and provide everyone with a hand wax, warm towels, and everyone leaves with a rose. We think you’ll feel the difference right away. Because we love our patients we offer a patient loyalty rewards program as a way to thank you.

3. Communication -

4. Quality Work -

5. Community Development –
-------------------------------------------------------------
These notes are the reason the dentist can have a link to the total health.
Most disease in the body is caused from inflammation. Periodontal disease may have a broader significance to overall health than previously believed:
Total Person summaries taken from Periodontal Journals.
Periodontal disease- Recommendation: DNA testing within the saliva
Heart Disease- Recommend a medical referral - Periodontal disease increases the likelihood of coronary artery disease by 2X. Periodontal disease can also aggravate existing heart conditions.
Diabetes- Treating periodontal disease can help the management of diabetes. –Recommend an MD referral
Untreated Sleep apnea can contribute to excessive daytime sleepiness as well as an increased risk for high blood pressure, heart attack stroke , diabetes, obesity, and driving accidents.
Anemia – proteins as the result of periodontal disease negatively react with the blod and decrease red blood cell production.
Different studies are suggesting that woman wit tooth loss caused by gum disease may experience higher incidences of breast cancer.
Poor oral care has been associated with memory loss and dementia
Once considered separate from the body that mouth is gaining rapid validation as a reflection of an individual’s overall health and quality of life.
Link to lungs- Periodontal bacteria inhaled into the respiratory tract can increase the chance of upper respiratory diseases. Therefore poor periodontal health can be viewed as a risk factor for respiratory disease.
Inflammation- Periodontal disease is a chronic, inflammatory disease that can impact overall health and other inflammatory diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
Prostate- Periodontitis may contribute to an increased level of PSA in patients with prostatitis
Rheumatoid arthritis markers have decreased with an improvement in periodontal inflammation and infection In fact periodontal treatment is being shown as one of the treatments for RA
Saliva- There have been significant salivary biomarkers for pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, gastric cancer, ovarian cancer.

Risk Factor Headings
Periodontal Disease
Research shows that up to 30% of the population may be genetically susceptible to the disease. Despite oral care habits, these people may be six times more likely to develop periodontal disease. We may recommend saliva testing to determine your genetic risk and current level of periodontal disease.

Oral Cancer
Although we perform a visual examination for oral cancer, occasionally there are lesions in the mouth that are not visible to the eye. We may use an oral cancer screening device to check for abnormal tissue. At least one strain of HPV is now linked to the development of oral cancer. It is estimated that nearly 20 million people in the United States have been infected with the HPV virus yet many do not know that have been infected because HPV often has no signs or symptoms. We now have access to salivary testing to check for HPV and determine one’s risk level for oral cancer.

Heart Disease
Researchers have found that people with periodontal disease are almost twice as like o suffer from coronary artery disease. If you have periodontal disease combined with other risk factors for heart disease, we may recommend you seek a medical evaluation, Periodontal disease can also aggravate existing heart conditions, so it is essential to get prompt treatment for periodontal disease, If you smoke and are diagnosed with periodontal disease, your risk of developing heart disease is greatly enhanced-

Color Preferences
Your choice!

As you do this I am not necessarily looking for a logo for the " 95th Street Dental" But rather something that converys this total health concept sort of like the wheel concept. If it all ties in then great! But the emblem would be used for markeing both internal and external.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
As I mentoned on page one.
