Re:GenerationLogo Design Contest

We are a college prep group that is doing a fall retreat activity and we need a ruby or soccer (football) like patch to promote it and put on some apparel.

I like the the idea of Blue, Grey, and Red. There could even be some Black and other colors in there as well. I don't necessarily want all of those, but a combination of them that looks good and is reminiscence of fall could look good.

Below I am attaching a file that communicates what we used in the past. I don't hate the logo, and it is a good starting point, (It doesn't have to be the shield shape, circle or another shape could work - I would actually like to see a few options that are not a shield). I need the communication of Re:Generation and Fall Retreat in it (Though I hate the font in this one), and want a more prestigious college prep type look. I know sometimes that means more, and some times it means less. I tend to be more of a know what I like when I see it, but can't make something from nothing. I believe this will be a good starting point.
