About Us
History:
8-Bit Brigade is an evolving group of gamers that originally met through DVDTalk.com. The core members of that large Halo clan later became Let Us Win, which was organized on Bungie.net. Later the name 8-Bit Brigade was settled on due to most of us being old enough to have been part of the old arcade and Atari days.
In 2005 it was proposed the clan launch its own forum and make its place on the web. After a victory in Bungie’s Humpday Challenge we drew new attention which resulted in an influx of recruits. Soon we held our first official Clan Meet where many of us met in person for the first time.
Nine Clan Meets, thousands of posts, and hundreds of beers later, we continue to grow and change. Most recently we added our Front Page and finished our second annual fundraiser for the Child’s Play charity.
Who We Are:
Currently we are a solid group of about 30 people, most in their mid 20s to mid 30s. We started as a Halo clan, and that is still our core, though we play a wide variety of games across different consoles. We are a diverse group that enjoys everything from fantasy sports and board games, to DVDs and tea drinking. You will find discussions in our forum on music, cooking, movies, books, and politics.
Our Policies:
We play to win and we play to have fun. We believe in good communication, commitment, and fair play. Modding, glitching, and cheating of any kind is not tolerated in our group. Trash talking and spawn killing tactics are not welcome. We have absolutely zero tolerance for any racist, homophobic, or bigoted hate speech in any form.
