Might you consider using just 42D ? I think it denotes fortitude better without the "e".

I quite like entry #50. Clean, crisp, easy to see. Not sure about the colors... although complementary, I think I just don't like the particular shades of green and orange. :\

Can't eliminate the e in "42ed" as it's our company name, domain, branding, et. al. Maybe in entry #52, you could try a tiny negative space "e" in the small angular wedge at the bottom where the 2 meets the D?

#57 is quite interesting, and I think I like the direction... although the size of "ed" looks a bit big to me. Would the "ed" look good smaller?

Funny you should say the "ed" was oversized. I had it smaller and enlarged it for fear that it might become insignificant, an add-on.

#222 yeah, I don't think those colors are doin it.
#223 the green is great, subtly evocative of hitchhikers, great contrast, I love the colors, I love the 'strength' (thickness/style?) of the font also. Would love to see you try a few other similar fonts. I really like this one, great work!

the fonts in #257 and #259 are interesting, but we don't like the gray extrusion as much, and it takes away from the green. the green seems to look very good paired with a dark color, but the grays and blacks seem to detract from it, or make it look like a different color.
