Is there any way that you can give this some 'shine'?

Nothing too much just something to lift it a little.

I like this because I could make a whole webpage out of it with each dot clickable for a different innovator :)

Could the dots have a more 3D quality so they look like balls (I'm thinking about animation possibilities)?
