What We Do

We are a commercial real estate development company, operating in Quebec, and we specialize in primarily grocery- and pharmacy-anchored shopping centers (outdoor, not indoor malls).

Navy blue (the exact shade is flexible)
Golden yellow is used in our current logo but could be replaced.
Light green is a color we have considered using but not necessary.

www.brookline.ca is our current website (but will be undergoing dramatic changes in the next few months). Details about our properties can be viewed by downloading the pdfs from the Properties section of the website.
Also, it is important that both the words Développements (French for 'development') and Brookline must appear in the logo.

There have been some nice submissions so far. I should mention, however, that our properties are located mostly in small towns and just a reminder to all that we only develop shopping centers... we don't do any residential buildings, houses or office buildings. So our properties feature grocery stores, pharmacies and other retail establishments. Keep up the good work.

We'd like to see some variations in font... also, in our current logo, for the word 'brookline' we use lowercase letters in Impact font... so a custom font similar in style would be something we'd like to see.

Also, we'd be interested in seeing other color combinations, such as the navy blue & light green I suggested in my notes. But we're open... however we do want navy blue to a dominant color in our logo.

Alternately, something we'd be interested in seeing would be a colored background (light or dark).

Just a note, I think we are leaning more towards the emblems with straighter lines... The ones with circles or round symbols don't really fit with what we're looking for.

In general we prefer to have the word Brookline bigger than the word developpements.

Also, we prefer brookline in blue and developpements in the yellow-gold.

We will probably also want to have all the letters in lowercase, as in our current logo.

Keep up the good work everyone, we're seeing some nice designs.

Another note... we are possibly going to integrate our slogan into the logo... it is probably going to be "Au coeur de la communauté" (in English this means "At the heart of the community").

The contest period has ended and we have a lot of really beautiful designs to choose from. I just want to say to all of you that we appreciate all your hard work. Our team will be discussing the finalists this week.
