Slogan
We are seeking a new tagline, but it does not have to be incorporated into the logo
What We Do
Financial accounting software solution for wholesale petroleum marketers. See www.aims1.com Similar generic accounting packages (i.e., general accounting systems not designed for a specific vertical market) would include MAS-90 by Sage, Great Plains by Microsoft, or a high-powered version of QuickBooks by Intuit. Our solutions include accounting software and fuel or petroleum inventory management software.
Color Preferences
Colors: We believe that the colors should connote professionalism and stability. The final color design needs to be flexible because we are redesigning our website and may need to adjust the color somewhat so that everything will coordinate.
We are leaning towards subtle tones of gold, black, gray, and some accent color, burgundy, green or another complimentary color in our website. But what do we know, we are technology people. Our target audience sells gasoline and the idea of the color of gasoline appeals to us to be incorporated into the website design.
Competition:
Most of our competitors and most software technology companies use some shade of blue, much like the former IBM blue. Although we are not opposed to blue, we want to stand out as the most professional accounting software solution in the industry, so we want our colors to be different from our competitor’s colors.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Our customers refer to us as AIMS.
Current logo:
Our current logo was designed almost 10 years ago and has served its purpose. We are open to a redesign of this logo, but are probably leaning toward a new and different design.
Current website: www.aims1.com
We wonder if the 1 should be incorporated somehow into the logo so people can easily find our site – this is not necessary, but just a question.
Considerations:
Our legacy product is named COMPAS (NOTE: We spell our product with only one “S”); which stands for Complete Oil Marketers Perpetual Accounting System – we have used a compass logo for our product and in most of our collateral and plan to continue with this idea. We will also update the compass logo as we complete our new website.
Our new product is called COMPAS Commander and we use this logo. It too will be updated.
We would like to move away from “clip art” type images to something more 3-D and more of a professional graphic image.
We are open to a compass image being part of our Name logo, but it is not necessary.
