This contest is being held to develop a logo for a product, not a business. Here's a brief description of the product: Encompass Lead & Interconnect System is the first pretested interconnect system designed for implantable pulse generation (IPG) devices. The "product" is a system that actually consists of a header (the clear, plastic component that sits atop the implantable device), the connectors & seals inside the header, and the lead (a "wire" that is inserted into the header). The Encompass is being released by Evergreen Medical Technologies, and contains the SYGNUS Implantable Contact System manufactured by Bal Seal Engineering, Inc. The header component is manufactured by rms Company.

We're not launching a business, we're launching a product. Here are the details: We are launching a high-pressure fluid seal product that is a critical component inside life sciences equipment (chromatography), specifically, in the pumps. The value to the end user (both the lab technician and the equipment manufacturer) is that our seal improves the reliability of the equipment, resulting in less machine downtime and less service/repair. Proposed names should embody reliability and performance. The attached file pic shows the seal (black, round unit with the spring embedded in it), coupled with a backup element. The seal and backup are paired to enable the seal to perform at 21,000+ psi. The seal and back are sitting next to a piston in the picture - this piston is part of the pump in which the seal operates. The seal and backup go on the piston, but we don't sell the piston - it's the OEM's part.
