There are a few contests on here that have been in the judging phase for weeks and weeks. What happens in this situation? Surely they can't just be left like this indefinitely.

Last I heard they are eventually voted on by the members here if CH can't be contacted.

I asked for this very thing to clear up the SF New Years contest. Some people voted and the contest has still not been closed. *shrug*

I'm hoping we can get some official response on here.

i'd like to get some info aswell. about how long time the CH can judge or is there any limit of time or something.

I agree with everyone.. I am in a few contests that are over and I am in second place now.. Who decides these.. This is very disapointing that we do all this work and these contests sit in limbo with no real winner..
Where are the moderators now when we need anwsers.

As posted in other threads this is a priority we are working on now. The last couple months of programmer time has been invested in designer disputes, but now solving long judging is in the works.

We will get caught up on this manually, and then implement an auto nag system to remind CHs of their obligations.

Tyler or whomever...are these contests PRE-PAID or the judging phase lasts long because they can't come up with the money just yet.

All the contests are pre paid.

i found some answer: What is required of LogoTourmanet clients:

* We require you to select a winner within 7 days of the contest ending. Most clients have a very good idea of who the winner is before the contest ends, so in most cases the selection deadline is trivial. We allow a 7 day extension of the contest if you need more time or additional entries from the design community. If a winner has not been selected within two weeks of the contest ending, we will do a final follow up by email. If there is no response, a LogoTournament administrator will be responsible for selecting a winner based on community feedback and distributing the prize. Although this happens in very rare cases, we do have a procedure in place to maintain a high level of designer confidence and participation in our contests. Thank you for understanding this policy.

fortunately i haven't found myself in such limbo (brand-spankin'-new here), but i'd definately be bothered if i hade to wait weeks to get any type of judgement....so: *bumpitty-bump-bump*

We are actively working on manually getting this wrapped up by overdue clients. The second phases of an automated system is already in programming. Essentially a client gets a reminder EVERY DAY until they select a winner.

It's 3 weeks since I posted this and as far as I can see other than a few promises nothing has happened. It is so frustrating to put time and effort into creating something and then nothing happens. I loved this site for a while, but I'm really losing the faith now.

This is the sole reason. Sorry to say it, but reciprocation if an interesting concept. If I don't feel the love from clients, I'm "not interested". :) Haha
