What We Do
We are a high-end portraiture and lifestyle photography studio providing in-home consultations to create finished (mounted, framed, and installed) photographic wall art to meet our clients' specific design needs and space requirements.

Color Preferences
My brand is subtle and classic in colors: gray and white with blue/green/aqua (again subtle) accents. This is done by design to make the client images stand out. My studio includes white walls, grey painted furniture, grey drapes, and natural accents like deer antlers and furniture made from patina'd ocean wood (natural shades of greens and blues etched naturally onto the wood over time). I do NOT want reds, bright blues, oranges, etc. I am trying to communicate sophistication with the grey and a clean, crisp natural look with whites.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I want it to be clear that I am a photographer, but feel the outline of the camera and the circle shutter are overused. I like both of those elements if there can be a fresh, new spin on them, or would be excited to see something totally new. I do own a lot of vintage cameras that I use for decorating. Also, Zoe and Cooper are my two yorkies, not my name. They are my inspiration, although I am not a pet photographer. So vintage cameras or a subtle use of the yorkies are two ideas; however, I don't want it to look like I am a pet photographer.

I forgot to mention in my contest brief that I would like something that can be used as a watermark for images online, and I would also like a whole concept that includes the name and an image/letters/abstract design/etc., but would like to be able to use the image/letters/abstract separately as a favicon or stand alone trademark of my studio. Thanks!!

I didn't see any designs that incorporate the tagline " where life meets lens" - any thoughts on that? Does it just make it too busy and wordy? Just curious...

One of my girlfriends had an idea of a line drawing of the outline of a girl holding a camera in one hand and two little dogs (yorkies of course) on a lease with the other. Is anyone interested in taking a stab at that? Or two little dogs coming out of a camera bag?

designers - i love that we are starting to see a little bit of color! I like the subtle use of greenish/blues with the grays a lot. Thanks for all your hard work - its wonderful to see so much talent from all over the world. I wish I could choose about 10 of these!! It will be a hard choice.

So far I really love ideas that use subtle elements of photography with the letters ZC....brackets, cameras, shutters, etc. great choices!

Ok, so we down to the top 5 designers! Thank you to everyone for all the great ideas. Here is where I am today: I am about 95% sure that I want a graphic that incorporates the initials ZC with some element of photography. I love the ideas of using focusing brackets, focusing points, bokeh, or a camera or shutter all of which are pretty standard symbols for photography. I want to be able to use the graphic by itself or with the text - is that ok with the designers to send the files both combined and separately? I like the use of grays - a regular gray with another gray that has hints of bluish-green in it. I definitely want to be able to use the image as a watermark, so I don't tend to like the ones with the solid black or color backgrounds. I like the all caps fonts, and slightly prefer the ones that the letters are all the same height. I like the simple, clean designs but want to be sure its somewhat feminine, which I think we can accomplish through the font choice and subtle use of color.

This is really late in the game for me to tell you all this, but I actually spell Zoe's name with a diaeresis over the "e" (the two little dots). Maybe that could be a starting point for some of the design features, like the bokeh or focus points, or camera shutters, etc. Just food for thought as we keep refining the designs...

Thank you to all the designers! While it is great to have so many choices, its hard because there are so many good ones and I want everyone to win. I truly appreciate all your work!!
