I am really impressed by how pure, simple and modern this logo is, let's stick with #16 and white background for now, I have 2 concerns: 1. the L It is not obvious to ready the L, if it was a known word like BALL, people will make the match automatically in their head, but some people may not know those 3 letters YUL and will wonder what is the last letter. Do you have any way to ease the recognition of the L without ruining your beautiful work?
2. the word Ventures I like where you put it as a continuity of the L but the font is really small and as soon as I will reduce the size of the logo, it will be impossible to read it. I want to use only YUL when I know it is going to be small but you know we cannot always control which logo (with or without the word Ventures) people will use. Do you have any suggestion son how to put the Ventures bigger, maybe simply underneath? And please add an S to Ventures.
Here are my comments: 1. the L. Actually, that L can be a distinctive point of this logo, where its curve has longer than usual. But I will send you the shorter curve to make it looks more L.
2. Ventures On my opinion and based on my experience, we can go with different format of logo. Maximum is 2 format. In some circumstance, it is allowed to make different format (vertical/horizontal) logo format. The unique placing of 'Ventures' word to close the L is creating another advantage of this logo.
I will try to closing your idea with some recommendation from me.
ok #22 is one of my favorites but I still have a problem with the L, there is something wrong, I hate to ask you because ti will change the logo a lot but I can I just see it with the full letters like #44, I do not not know, maybe it will help to read the L without killing your beautiful logo ? :-)
Based on #22 (extended tail), I try to go back to the first logo submission where the 'Ventures' placed at the end of the tail, but now, I have made the type using bolder text, italic (to sweeten the between the 'L' tail and 'V' of ventures)
I also try an extreme approach where I cut again the 'L' tail to be much short than before, and put the text of 'Ventures' in italic and bold typography.
