Color Preferences
My palate is rich, beach, figi-esque. Deep blue/greens offset by sand and a grounding earthy rust/brown. Colors draw from raw elements aesthetic, like deep ocean blues, zen sand gardens, and seaglass

Discussion

Thank you designers! The goal of this logo would be an elegant, clever combination of the two words (you and thought), possibly incorporating the pause button, but not a dealbreaker if not. It’s a (Youth Thought)-fulness program dedicated to self exploration and awareness (You Thought), because (Youth Ought) to have abundant opportunities for wellness, so the business name is a play on words reflecting all three concepts, hence the shading/bolding/capitalizing inspiration uploads. This is as much a wellness business as it is education, so pretty please no kitchy-classroom fonts. Although it originated and is still primarily for youth (6-12yrs), it is expanding to teens, young adults and adults. We started as Thoughtful Theater (I included that logo) and we are expanding into Youthought, with additional classes offered beyond just theater-based. Kindly steer away from overly holistic/religious/elementary. It should feel approachable for Everyman. Grateful, in advance, for your creativity and ingenuity!!

These are sensational! I don't know if any of you read these comments, but is it possible to see any of these with the byline "preventative wellness project" instead of "the play and the Pause"?

Continued compliments to all of the designers! Wow! You are making this difficult in the best way! If it helps, I find I am gravitating to designs that have the entire word in the same color or font, but are playing with either the bolding or italics, as well as using inventive placements of the thought bubble or the pause button, but in subtle ways. I am gravitating away from versions with the word "you" or "youth" being too predominant since I want it to feel inclusive to all ages, though a little distinction between the two is still attractive. I also find I am toggling a great deal between a very elegant, handwritten script vs. a clean, modern font. I appreciate some of the imagery, but will likely stay away from anything with a brain, tree, heart, leaves or hands, or anything resembling the medical/hospital industry. If anything, the ocean, water, or waves may be a subtle image possibility, but the more discreet the better. If the design has too many symbols incorporated (thought bubble plus a pause and play icon, etc), it is too busy. I hope this is helpful! Thank you for bringing this business name to so much life!!! I am so grateful to ALL of you!

Thank you for your continued responses and changes. If I haven't ranked you or moved you to the not interested column, I am definitely still considering your design. I can only check every few hours or so, so please don't be discouraged by delays in responding. I definitely prefer the "Y" not be capitalized, and seem to be gravitating towards all lower case, but not strictly so yet. I have some definite leanings but am still not 100% certain on the direction yet, so keep it coming! Thank you so much!!

Wonderful submissions! This will be a difficult day for me to choose!. Here is a bit of possible guidance. I'm thinking when people first see the logo, I'll want it to be generic enough that it doesn't emphasize any of the the word pairings at first (you thought, or youth ought, etc), so that it doesn't exclude any possible age group or emphasis. But, once they start looking at the different offerings, certain parts of the logo words would be emphasized. In other words, the front page of the website is the unified word "youghthought" without any distinctions, but when you click on the website section with offerings for youth, the version of the logo would emphasize the word "youth", or when you click on the section of the webpage for adults, it would emphasize the word "you", the community service options page would emphasize the word "ought"...does the make sense. These variations could be done with shading, font changes or thought bubbles over the various words, etc. I hope his makes sense. So perhaps submit a logo with the option to emphasize different parts of the word while keeping the logo unified.
