Thanks everyone for the proposals. Generally speaking the solid black text looks professional (which is good) but also too heavy. Better take a lighter or more coloured approach.

About the slogan we don't necessarily need to use it together with the logo, so don't worry about adding it.

Let's summarize: the logo is for a web site for a community of users of Spice, a software for designing and simulating electronics circuits. Spice's works are typically in a form of schematic, of which a sample can be seen in the file attached to the brief (spicesample.jpg).

Ideally the logo would symbolize the process "from the 'schematic design' to 'circuit analysis'".

For the 'schematic design' any element could be creatively taken from the mentioned spicesample.jpg, just using the same colors (red, blue, black and purple).

The 'circuit analysis' could be shown with a stylized waveform. Complete freedom to designer's creativity ! As an example you could use a two peaks waveform, or google for "wave forms".

As far as the "YouSpice" text is concerned, we like the proposals.

Being a web community we would evaluate brighter, more "2.0" alike, variations.

Ok time is running short and while the proposals are good we're not yet there; I understand the brief can be complex, just dont worry about discussing doubts.

Now we have two ways to improve:

1) Focus on the concept "from a circuit drawing to a functioning", where the circuit drawing could be anything from here https://logotournament.com/contest_attach?id=1536 and the functioning could be sketched as a waveform.

Ideally in the logo the circuit drawing "morphes"... evolves... into the functioning.

2) Alternatively we can focus on the idea of community of electronics technicians. So the focus would be on people and the sense of community with a stronger web 2.0 look & feel. One proposal touched this point.

Anything, just tell. Really, i mean it.
